Before bidding, all prospective Purchasers should read carefully TATTERSALLS Conditions of Sale for Online Auctions the terms of which apply both to the conduct of the auction and to all purchases made thereat.
Prospective purchasers are asked to note that inspection of the Lot will only take place at the premises of the Vendor or his agent. All inspections are to be coordinated directly by Tattersalls. Please get in touch with one of our team to organise a suitable time to view the horse in question.
It is a condition of the sale that the Vendor will make available in Tattersalls repository a veterinary file containing proscribed information depending on the nature of the Lot. A list of the information that the Vendor is required to provide is to be found here. Your vet will be able to access the veterinary file in the repository.
Potential purchasers wishing to bid online will need to be registered with an online account with Tattersalls and will need to indicate that they wish to bid on a particular sale on TattersallsOnline.com.
Potential purchasers wishing to bid in person are welcome to do so and should give advance notice of their intention to attend Tattersalls Sales Office in Park Paddocks, Newmarket for this purpose where their bids will be taken in person by an auctioneer.

You can log in using your normal username and password that you would normally use when making Tattersalls entries or checking your account.
To make a bid click on the ‘Bid’ button and indicate what you would like your bid to be. Bidders can increase the bid amount by any level, but the minimum increment will be as per the Conditions of Sale. Please be certain about your bid as there is no cooling off period.
Once you have made a bid, you will be notified by text/email if someone bids more than you have. Bids will also be available to be seen on the website, although not with any identity of bidder.
Bidding screen to indicate whether the horse is on the market or not via a red light or green light. A green light indicates that a horse is on the market. A red light indictaes that the horse has not yet reached its reserve. If a vendor is bidding on their own horse above the reserve they set, the light will still indicate green.
Sales will typically take place over 48 hours but this may vary. Please check the clock that indicates when a sale finishes.
A deadline will be set ("the Original Closing Time") with a countdown clock indicating how long there is left to bid.
The Original Closing Time will automatically be extended by a rolling period of 20 minutes from the time of the previous bid. Once the Original Closing Time has been reached, a period of 20 minutes must elapse following a bid (without any further bid being made during that 20 minute period) for that bid to be accepted as the final bid.
Notification of the sale result will be sent to all participants.

Payment is to be made immediately after the purchase of the Lot by cash or acceptable banker’s draft to TATTERSALLS unless TATTERSALLS agrees to accept a different method or time for payment.
