Lot 846: Comrade In Arms is Qatari-bound, bought by trainer Debbie Mountain for 72,000gns from the Sir Michael Stoute draft.

A recent winner, the three-year-old is a War Front half-brother to the Group 1-placed sire Thewayyouare and to Peeping Fawn, a champion three-year-old filly of 2007 and the dam of September, runner-up in the Fillies' Mile (G1) and third in the Moyglare Stkaes (G1). (19:22)

Lot 824: Nearest Green is heading to Hong Kong, bought by Raymond Tai for 210,000gns from Kevin Ryan's Hambleton Lodge Stables.

The son of Exceed And Excel has won or placed on all of his five career starts to date, including winning a novice stakes at Beverley over 5f at the beginning of the month. (19:05)

Lot 823: Lethal Steps, sells for 300,000gns, bought by Mags O'Toole on behalf of Gordon Elliot. The son of Lethal Force finished fourth yesterday at Newmarket in the mile Listed Sir Henry Cecil Stakes.

"He is for a new client with Gordon to run on the Flat - after all, Gordon is a dual Royal Ascot-winning trainer!" said O'Toole. "Gordon was too busy with runners to be here today, but he saw the horse yesterday and loved him - even after running and vetting, the horse trotted out to his ears."

Jamie Railton, consignor for owner Qatar Racing, said: "The horse has been been beautifully produced by Andrew Balding and his team. He ran well yesterday, looking as though he wanted a little further. He has few miles on the clock and is a lovely horse."

Lethal Steps is rated 99 and has had a mark over 95 throughout his nine-race career - reaching a high of 102 earlier this spring. He finished fifth in the Group 3 Derrinstown Derby Trial in May, afterwards transferring from trainer Ger Lyons to Andrew Balding. (18:56)

Lot 783 and Lot 785: Joe Foley of Ballyhane Stud gets off to a flyer, the Irishman buying the second horse offered this evening fro 26,000gns - Flawlessly, a winning, Listed-placed daughter of Exceed And Excel.

She is out of the Listed-placed Privalova (Alhaarth), a half-sister to the Group 2 winner Special Kaldoun. (17:41)

Lot 763: trainer Tom Tate spends 36,000gns on River Glades, a son of Cape Cross and out of the Teofilo mare Everglades.

The colt, the winner of one race, was sold by Mark Johnston's stable for owner Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.

He is from the family of this year's Epsom Derby winner, Masar. (13:24)

Lot 745: Montague by Poet's Voice and out of Silicon Star, a dual winner since the middle of June for David O'Meara Racing, and now the winner of five races, sells for 42,000gns.

Trainer Debbie Mountain was the successful purchaser and the colt will race on in Qatar. (12:50)

Lot 721: yesterday's Newmarket winner Midsummer Knight is bought by Gassim Mohammad Ghazali for 90,000gns.

"I have followed this horse for a time, and yesterday's victory made it certain that I would like to buy him. We came particularly for this horse - he will suit Qatar and I like his sire Dream Ahead," said Ghazali.

The fast Midsummer Knight won yesterday's 0-100 5f Saeed Suhail Saeed Handicap by a length off a mark of 80, a career-best performance for the three-year-old who is now a winner of two races.

Ghazali also bought the following lot, Myboyhenry, also from the Spigot Lodge draft, his 21st purchase this week.

"It is slightly more than the last few years," admitted Ghazali. (12:15)

Lot 703: Bansuri, the Mizzen Mast daughter of the Alabama Stakes and Kentucky Oaks winner Flute, is bought by Joe Burke for 68,000gns.

She is a full-sister to the Grade 2 winner and Grade 1-placed Filimbi.

"It is a real live family," said Burke. "Flute is in-foal to Arrogate, while Filimbi has a War Front colt foal and Tapit yearling filly.

"She is a really well bred filly, a complete Northern Dancer outcross and I like her physically too. I have been lucky with buying from Juddmonte before - I bought Timeslot here at the December Sale in 2016, and she is now a half-sister to Hofburg, who was third in this year's Belmont Stakes (G1) behind Justify.

"Bansuri will go to board at Oghill House Stud." (11:41)

Lot 702: Tony O'Callaghan of Tally-Ho Stud outbid Joe Foley of Ballyhane Stud for Arbitrary, a three-year-old bay daughter of Frankel.

She cost the Irish-based stud farm 52,000gns, and is a half-sister to Emulous, the Group 1 winner of the Matron Stakes, and to the Group 3 winner First Sitting. (11:40)

Lot 693: Indicia, the first filly in this morning from the Juddmonte draft, is bought by John Kilbride of Kilbride Equine for 45,000gns.

"She has been bought for an owner-breeder and will remain in training with the hope of winning a race before going to stud," said Kilbride.

By Bated Breath (Dansili), the three-year-old filly, placed as a juvenile, is a close relation to the UK and Australian Listed winner and Group 3-placed Stipulate (Dansili).

Indicia's dam Indication also has a two-year-old by Dansili called Runnymede, who is yet to run, and a yearling filly by the same sire.

Third dam is the Group 1 winner All At Sea.

Revalue (Lot 694), who hails from the same family, makes 35,000gns. (11:10)

Lot 645: Broken Force, a winner since the catalogue was printed, is bought by Stephen Thorne for 40,000gns from Karl Burke's Spigot Lodge.

Lot 626: Olympic Odyssey (Camelot) becomes joint top lot for the day when selling to agent Stephen Hillen for 100,000gns.

"He is for a new client, and will be going jumping," said Hillen. "He is a gorgeous horse, and by Camelot who has such a good stint of things of late.

"He'll have an easy month now, and then go to his new base and he stays in England."

A winner and placed since the catalogue was published, Olympic Odyssey is out of the Group 1 Prix de la Foret winner Field Of Hope (Selkirk). She is dam of eight winners, six of which can boast black-type. (21:15)

Lot 614: Balestra was bought by Alex Elliott and trainer Tim Easterby for 48,000gns at the Autumn Horses In Training Sale 2017 from the Juddmonte draft.

The son of Bated Breath proved to be a great buy – he has run four times for Easterby, winning his first two starts in May and then finishing second twice, including at the beginning of this month when a 2l runner-up behind the now 99-rated Ventura Knight.

He was sold by the Easterby yard today for 70,000gns, realising a decent sale ring profit on top of his racecourse success.

Purchaser today was Oliver St Lawrence: "He is for a new client and will be going to race in Bahrain. He is a good-looking horse and looked very well here today." (20:56)

Lot 583 and Lot 584: are both purchased by Gassim Mohammad Ghazali - the first is Alrahaal a son of Raven's Pass, while Jurz is by Exceed And Excel. Both are lightly raced three-year-olds from the Shadwell draft.

The Marcus Tregoning-trained Alrahaal broke his maiden at the beginning of June and is on a mark of 78. Jurz is yet to win a race, but has finished second twice in five starts and is rated 76. (20:15)

Lot 579A: wild card entry Degas, a Group 3 winner of the Preis der Wirtschaft in Germany last time out in June, is bought by Jamie Railton acting for owner Eckhard Sauren.

The five-year-old son of Exceed And Excel, bred and owned by Gestut Rottgen, can also boast of ten career placings in Listed and Group races in France and Germany.

"He will be going back to Germany, I don't know training plans," said Railton. "He might take up his entry this weekend in the Group 2 Meilen Trophy at Cologne." (19:47)

Lot 545: Gassim Mohammad Ghazali adds Braemar, sold by Juddmonte Farms, to his purchasing list, spending 52,000gns on the son of Oasis Dream.

A maiden in eight starts, he has been finished second on his last five starts and gone up in the handicap from 63 to 74.

Braemar is out of a Dalakhani half-sister to the Epsom Derby (G1) winner Workforce. (18:47)

Lot 517: Volatile, who was bought by John Ferguson Bloodstock for 32,000gns at last autumn's Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale, is sold today by owner Melbourne Ten and The Old Malthouse Stables (J. Osborne) for 85,000gns.

A consistent type, the son of Poet's Voice racked up a three-timer on the All-Weather from January through to March and has finished in the first four in four of his subsequent six runs.

He was purchased by Gassim Mohammad Ghazali, who also bought Lot 522 – Shakour by Declaration Of War for 40,000gns. (17:56)

Lot 486 and Lot 498: Gassim Mohammad Ghazali buys his ninth and tenth horses at this year's July Sale - both two-year-olds.

The trainer went to 68,000gns for High Horse, sold by Clive Cox's Beechdown Farm Stables. Yet to win, the son of Dark Angel finished fifth last time in a Haydock nursery behnd Luchador, who also bought by Ghazali this morning.

Indian Horseman, from Tuite Racing, cost the Qatari trainer, sat in the seats with Will Douglass, 72,000gns. The son of Sepoy finished second on his debut at Windsor earlier this week. (13:12)

Lot 474: Hinde Street, the son of Giant's Causeway, is heading to Saudi Arabia after fetching 82,000gns in the ring, bought by Faisal Misreef.

"He is one for the King's Cup," said Misreef. "He should go on the Dirt being by Giant's Causeway."

From John Gosden's Clarehaven Stable, owned by Michael Tabor and sold by The Castlebridge Consignment, Hinde Street has run three times and has a rating of 84.

He is out of the Matron Stakes (G1) winner Marylebone, the dam of six winners, including Bow Bells and Sloane Square, both black-type runners. (12:48)

Lot 463: Manzil, trained by Dermot Weld beat Needs To Be Seen (Lot 425) at Down Royal in June, is bought by Bobby O'Ryan for 85,000gns.

"He came highly recommended," said O'Ryan. "He is a nice horse and is for Mick Easterby. He'd be one for the John Smith's Cup at York next year."

By Bated Breath and with a rating of 85, Manzil looks a progressive type and was sold by Shadwell. (12:42)

Lot 454: Liam Norris and William Huntingdon, working with Geoff Prices's Happy Valley Racing Ltd, buy Department Of War for 65,000gns from East Everleigh Stables.

"We thought he was good value, but we'll soon see!" said Norris of the three-time raced, winner and Listed-placed son of Declaration Of War. "He is lightly raced and has a good-rating, but I think the rating was a little under what the Hong Kong buyers are looking for.

"This horse will probably be cut, and then goes into training with Jeremy Noseda - he has a two-year-old for the syndicate by No Nay Never whom we bought here last autumn.

"We bought Via Serendipity and Maratha at this sale last year for Happy Valley and they have both gone on well." (12:13)

Lot 445: Mantovani, a gelding by High Chaparral and out of the Platini mare Ripley, is bought by Stephen Hillen for 50,000gns.

The three-year-old has run twice for Qatar Racing, showing promise with two fourth placings in novice races at Nottingham and Leicester.

He is a half-brother to two black-type horses and five winners and is qualified for French premiums. (11:54)

Lot 436: De Medici, a winner of a 0-85 handicap over 1m1f at the beginning of the month at Sandown, is bought by Michael Donohoe of BBA Ireland on behalf of Yulong Investments. He is rated 85 and is a son of Makfi.

"This horse might head to Singapore or Australia," said Donohoe. "Yulong is building up quite a big string in Singapore now.

"This horse is a good-looking type, vetted well and came recommend ed by Archie Watson.

"It is the beauty of buying internationally - a horse might find his or her niche in a different jurisdiction." (11:39)

Lot 425: John Ryan Racing buys Needs To Be Seen, a twice-raced son of Motivator and formerly trained by Joseph O'Brien.

The three-year-old colt's last run came subsequent to printing of the catalogue, when second at Down Royal in June over 1m2f. Manzil, the winner of that race, has since achieved an official rating of 85. (11:18)

Lot 412: Red Roman, a winner of two races as a juvenile last year for trainer Charles Hills and on a BHA mark of 92, is bought by BBA Ireland's Michael Donohoe for 30,000gns.

He was successful at Goodwood last August over 6f and has run down the field in two competitive events this year at Newmarket. (10:55)

Lot 397: Colm Sharkey with trainer Roger Fell go to 27,000gns for Hawaam (Swiss Spirit), a colt by Helmet and a half-brother to Waady, the Group 3 winner of the Sprint Stakes.

Lot 274: Tawahid, from the Eoghan O'Neil draft and the winner of three races over 6f to a mile as a juvenile, is bought by regular Tattersalls buyer, Gassim Mohammad Ghazali, the Qatari champion trainer.
