Mains, who previously assisted Amanda Skiffington, has headed out into business herself.
"I won't be doing too much agency work, rather the plan is to work with racing clubs and syndicates," she explained. "I am setting up Main Line Racing, which is to be a leasing racing club run in association with Whitsbury Manor Stud. It is launching in November." (17:03)

The colt's Super Saver dam won one race at three and is a daughter of Atlantic Ocean (Stormy Ocean), a dual Grade 3 winner.

"He was a lovely foal, but he has turned inside out through prep and really done well. We have had a lot of interest in him and Gleneagles should make up into a top stallion. We are thrilled that Alastair [ Donald] has bought him and wish the new connections the best of luck."

"That was unbelievable," said Adrian O’Brien, manager of the young operation based at Exning, just outside of Newmarket, adding: "It is the first year we are selling stock whom we have been involved with since conception so it is very pleasing.
"We liked Kingman and you do need the stars to align, especially when you are using young stallions who have their first two-year-olds running.
"I was not sure what he would make, we decided to let the market find his value. We has been very popular in the run-up to today, and a lot of the main players were interested - it was just a matter of whether they followed him into the ring - which thank god they did!"
Those bidders who missed out today included the buyer of last week's top lot David Redvers, who was standing with Sheikh Fahad, Charlie Gordon-Watson with Saeed Suhail, and Alastair Donald. (14:50)
Lot 635: Guy O'Callaghan of Grangemore Stud sold the farm's Kodiac colt for 250,000gns. The colt, a first foal out Teofilo mare Redmaven, was purchased as a foal for €90,000.

"He is a lovely, athletic and strong foal," said Gerry Ross, farm manager at Kenilworth. "He was very busy through inspections - and, of course, Siyouni has had another brilliant year, headlined by the wonderful filly Laurens, but there is a lot of his dam sire Shamardal in him too." (12:24)
Lot 566: "This is a lovely uncomplicated, athletic horse by Oasis Dream who has a good record in Hong Kong," said Mark Richards of the Hong Kong Jockey Club after sending 250,000gns on the Newsells Park Stud consigned March-born colt bred by Gestut Faehrhof.
"We bought five horse last week and we are delighted with that as it was a strong market. We spent 525,000gns on the Kodiac from Lodge Park Stud [Lot 308] but he was out pick and we had set out hearts on him."
This summer sadly saw the passing of Nick Columb, a regular visitor to Tattersalls in his role as bloodstock consultant for the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
"I am here without Nick and his loss leaves a huge gap. He achieved such a lot in the industry – as an owner he won the Caulfield Cup (G1) with Imposera and Tristarc, and Golden Slipper (G1) with Courtza. He was also chairman of Australia’s Thoroughbred Racehorse Owners Association. He is greatly missed," said Richards. (12:05)

Book 1
October 9-11: selling starts each day at 11am
Record Tattersalls October Book 1 Turnover for Seventh Consecutive Year: At the conclusion of the 2018 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony commented:
“It is an extraordinary statistic that for seven consecutive years Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale has produced record turnover climbing from just over 50 million guineas in 2011 to this year’s new record of more than 105 million guineas.
"We genuinely believed that last year’s phenomenal October Book 1 would not be matched for a very long time, but yet again Europe’s top thoroughbred breeders have sent us the most outstanding collection of yearlings and buyers from throughout the world have responded accordingly.
"Quality is the key and Book 1 of the 2018 October Yearling Sale is the finest showcase for the best yearlings by the truly exceptional roster of stallions currently standing in Europe.
“From start to finish there has been fierce international competition for the cream of the European yearling crop top with 14 lots selling for a million guineas or more, an unprecedented 59 breaking the 500,000 guineas mark and the sale producing the world’s highest priced yearling for the seventh year in a row.
"While the 3.5 million guineas sale topping Dubawi colt out of Dar Re Mi and the 3.4 million guineas Galileo colt out of Shastye were the highlights of the past three days, a particular feature of the sale has been the consistent demand in all sectors of the market.
"There is no doubt that the £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus brings owners and trainers to the sale who might otherwise look elsewhere and it is no coincidence that the clearance rate of 86 per cent is the best at October Book 1 for more than a decade.
"To date there have been 127 winners of more than £3 million in Book 1 Bonuses and it is a great endorsement to see pretty well all of the beneficiaries returning to the sale in search of more Bonus winners.
“Books 2, 3 and 4 of the October Yearling Sale start on Monday and we look forward to sustaining the momentum from this week’s record-breaking sale." (23:00)
