Lot 1476: the LLety Farms-consigned Brazen Beau filly, a half-sister to Dave Dexter, a winner of three races this year at two this year, including the Listed Harry Rosebery Stakes, is sold for 55,000gns.
Dave Dexter was bought in Book 3 last year by Alex Elliott for 32,000gns - he is now BHA rated 99. (15:01)
Lot 1472: the Hot Streak from Book 2 continues into Book 3... the half-brother to Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes winner Abel Handy sells for 45,000gns.
He was sold by Barton Stud, which also had a good time of it in Book 2 with a top price of 280,000gns given by Shadwell Estate Company for the Oasis Dream ex Goleta filly.
Hot Streak averaged 126,000gns for seven sold in Book 2. The Tweenhills Stud sire's top price was 220,000gns given by Kingcraft Bloodstock for the colt out of Bossanova Lady and consigned by Jamie Railton. (14:49)
Lot 1463: the brown filly by Poet's Voice lights up the ring, bought by bloodstock agent Richard Frisby from Glebe Farm Stud for 80,000gns.
Stud manager Carwyn Johns said: "We are delighted with that - we were not expecting it at all! She is lovely filly, big and strong for an April foal.
"We came up to the ring in good time and she was pulled out for inspections more than going around it!
"We have had a good year and at the beginning of the week sold a Mastercraftsman first foal for 150,000gns and a Free Eagle for 40,000gns. It is the first year we have consigned under our own banner and we are delighted."
Denis and Clare Barry have been at Glebe Farm for "six or seven years" and Houghton Bloodstock have consigned the horses until this year. There are 16 mares based at the farm.
"We wanted to find our feet first before consigning ourselves," said Denis Barry. "Carwyn and his team have done a fantastic job this year, we are very happy." (14:36)
Lot 1424: the recent Group 1-winning combination of Highfield Farm (David and Emma Armstrong) and trainer Michael Dods step up and buy the Pivotal filly from The Castlebridge Consignment for 50,000gns.
She is out Umneyati (Iffraaj), the winner of three races at two and placed four times, including in the Listed Rosebery Stakes.
After Umneyati's victory over 5f at Warwick, the post-race analysis reported that the "filly has a lovely character and is doing us proud".
The team's recent Group 1 Prix de l'Abbaye winner Mabs Cross is now on her holidays and is due to return to training next year. (13:22)
Lot 1381: from Moyns Park Stud, the Lethal Force half-sister to the 2018 two-year-old Listed winner Natalie's Joy (Lope De Vega), makes 57,000gns. He is bought by trainer Stuart Williams.
He is also a half-brother to Annie's Fortune, third in the Oh So Sharp Stakes (G3) in 2012.
It is the top family of the champion European two-year-old Blue Duster (second dam) and Group 2 winner Blue Note (third dam).
Natalie's Joy cost 35,000gns in Book 2 last year and was bought by Mark Johnston Racing. (13:20)
Lot 1373: the son of Lethal Force is signed for by Huntingdon/Norris, bought on behalf of owner and long-term client Chris Van Hoorn.
"Chris has only just got here," said Liam Norris, "and this was the first horse he saw - luckily he was happy to trust our judgement.
"But we loved him when we saw him yesterday, he was definitely our favourite. He goes into training with James Fanshawe."
The colt was sold by Cheveley Park Stud, which stands Lethal Force, having been purchased from the breeders Mr J. A. Knox and Mrs M. A. Knox for 20,000gns as a foal.
He is a half-brother to the Listed-placed Momalorka (Dutch Art) as well as the seven-time winner Baron Bolt. (11:42)
Lot 1369: "I like Sir Percy, he is an underrated sire," said David Elsworth after spending 52,000gns on the strong filly, bred and sold by Bumble Mitchell and by the Lanwades Stud sire.
Elsworth continued: "I was smitten with her. She looks strong and should have some speed, it's a fast page - she comes from a good farm, Bumble feeds them well. Willie Carson pointed her out to me, I've got to spend the winter now worrying about how to get her sold!"
The filly is a half-sister to the Bosra Sham Stakes (L) winner Spiritual Lady (Pastoral Pursuits), the winner of three races as a juvenile. (11:34)
Lot 1357: a delighted Harry Dutfield admitted he was "buzzing" after selling his Dream Ahead colt to Rabbah Bloodstock for 52,000gns. Dutfield pinhooked the colt for15,000gns here last December.
"I am delighted," he said, "and in fact would probably have been reasonably happy with less!
"When I bought him last year, I loved him at first sight and had to have him.
"He has been a gentleman to deal with all year and he is a lovely big strong horse. The Dream Ahead-Dansili cross has produced two Group winners this year."
The Group duo are the Mark Johnston-trained Dark Vision (Vintage Stakes (G2)) and Tornibush (Prix du Pin (G3)). (10:55)
Lot 1350: the War Command colt out of the Shamardal half-sister to the Prix Vermeille (G1) winner Bateel sells for 45,000gns. He was bought by Rabbah Bloodstock, underbidder was Ollie Cole.
He was sold by Rossenarra Stud, and consignor John McEnery said: "He has always been a lovely foal, right from the start. Sadly, we lost the mare after this colt was born so he was brought up on a foster mare - he has done very well.
"I like the sire, his progeny have good minds and this horse is no exception. He was very busy yesterday, he must have had 20 or 30 looks - once one person brought him out, he was constantly out of his stable." (10:36)
Lot 1338: the Iffraaj filly from Norris Bloodstock, a half-sister to three winners and out of the Listed placed, 90-rated mare a Perfect Story (Desert Story), makes 40,000gns, bought by Paul George.
She has had two runners rated over 85 so far: Perfect Cracker (Dubai Destination) rated 91, and Tanseeb (Royal Applause) rated 88. (10:05)

Book 2
October 15-17, selling starts each day at 10am
At the conclusion of Book 2 of the 2018 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony commented:
“In 2011 the combined turnover of Books 1 and 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale was a little under 77 million guineas. Seven years later the combined turnover at Books 1 and 2 has risen to a new record well in excess of 150 million guineas.
"These are pretty staggering numbers, especially following on from the extraordinarily strong 2017 October Yearling Sales, which we felt would be so hard to match.
“The key to the huge advances in recent years is the quality of the stock. The leading British and Irish breeders, as well as a number of their French and German counterparts, consistently place enormous faith in the October Yearling Sale and top quality yearlings combined with racecourse success bring the buyers to the sale.
"Year after year horses purchased at the October Yearling Sale achieve superstar status, not only in Europe, but on the global stage and the strong international demand has been a real feature of the past three days of Book 2.
“The top of the market has been particularly robust with over 40 yearlings selling for 200,000 guineas or more and the 750,000 guineas top price for Hazelwood Bloodstock’s outstanding Kingman colt bettered only once at this fixture.
"Buyers from throughout the Gulf region have been prolific this week and their consistent support and patronage is hugely appreciated. British and Irish trainers continue to regard Book 2 of the October Yearling Sale as the key date in the European sales calendar and buyers, some of them new to Europe, from South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand have all made notable contributions to a successful October Book 2 which has returned an impressive clearance rate of 86 per cent.
“Tomorrow we move on to Book 3 of the October Yearling Sale, which has enjoyed a stellar year on the racecourse and as ever, all the yearlings offered are eligible for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.” (23:55)

Day 3
We have also just hit a record aggregate for Book 2 at 48,458,500gns, just over the 48,022,000gns achieved in 2017 (20:31)
Lot 1318: the sale of Lope De Vega colt from Pier House Stud for 230,000gns takes Book 2 2018 into record-breaking zone.
This year 45 lots have sold for 200,000gns or more compared with 44 in 2017, then a record for the sale. (20:29)
Lot 1317: takes Newsells Park Stud to leading Book 2 consignor - doubling up after the farm's success last week in Book 1.
As this son of Nathaniel was lead out, having sold to SackvilleDonald for 190,000gns, he and Gerry Meehan were greeted to cheers from numerous excited people wearing black and yellow jackets.
It was appropriate that the colt, who tipped the farm to the top of the consignors' list, 127,000gns ahead of The Castlebridge Consignment, was a homebred by the Newsells-based son of Galileo.
The farm's turnover for the week is 2,010,000gns for 19 lots sold. (20:24)
Lot 1308: as a racehorse Miss You Too, a daughter of Montjeu, finished second in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud and won the Listed John Musker Stakes.
She has had one runner so far – Te Koop who has been placed five times at two and three years here and abroad.
Her third foal sold today fetched 280,000gns, purchased by Jeremy Brummitt. He is as colt by Lope De Vega and was sold by Hillwood Stud. (20:07)
Lot 1297: "We knew we had a nice draft for Book 2, but this has exceeded all our hopes," said Ed Player after Whatton Manor's excellent draft goes from strength to strength and achieves its top price of the week with the sale of the Dark Angel colt out of Minwah (Oasis Dream) for 420,000gns.
"It has been an amazing week," he added, the draft having averaged 119,250gns for 12 horses sold.
"This colt has always looked the part at home, and we were always looking forward bringing him," said Player. "I have to thank the top team we have at home and here - they have some early mornings when here, it is so lovely when it works out."
Minwah was purchased at the December Mares Sale in 2014 by Larry Stratton for Whatton Manor for 46,000gns. Her one runner so far Blyton (Kodiac) has won three races as a juvenile, including at York last week. He is rated 92 and has run 12 times finishing out of the first four placings just once.
This yearling colt, who achieved the second-best price of the day, was bought by Alastair Donald, with Stroud Coleman the frustrated underbidder. (19:43)
Lot 1292: agent Charlie Gordon-Watson bought Poet's Word here in 2014 when spending 300,000gns on the bay colt out of Whirly Bird (Nashwan) on behalf of client Saeed Suhail.
The colt is the best son of deceased sire Poet's Voice and this year won the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes (G1) and the Prince Of Wales's Stakes (G1). He isset to join the stallion roster at Shadwell.
Gordon-Watson will be hoping lightning can strike twice after going to 140,000gns for the Kilminfoyle House Stud-consigned colt by the sire and out of MIlady Eileen (Footstepsinthesand). She is an own-sister to Arasin, a prolific horse in Hong Kong, winner at Listed level and runner-up in the Champions Mile (G1) at Sha Tin. (19:26)
Lot 1288: Alex Elliott buys this Charm Spirit colt out of the talented mare Melodique (Falco), who was rated 104, won a Listed race and was Group placed, for 100,000gns.
She had a colt foal by Awtaad this year, and was covered by Fast Company in the spring. (19:09)
Lot 1272: the ORS Bloodstock & Stanley House Stud-bred daughter of Zoffany makes 120,000gns. She is bought by Amanda Skiffington.
The filly is a grand-daughter of Superstar Leo, the European champion two-year-old filly of 2000. She is the dam of the Enticing, the dam of One Master, the William Haggas-trained recent winner of the Prix de la Foret (G1) and Fairy Bridge Stakes (G3).
Enticing is an own sister to Map Of Heaven, the Pivotal dam of this yearling filly. (18:38)
Lot 1217: Stephen Hillen and trainer Henri-Francois Devin buy the "gorgeous" Kingman colt for 400,000gns, the yearling another of this week's very popular draft produced by Stauffenberg Bloodstock.
Bred by Dayton Investments, the colt is out of the winning Galileo mare Legende Bleue, and is a half-brother to Legende d'Or, who has been placed once as a two-year-old this summer in France.
"He is a gorgeous horse," said Hillen. "He is so relaxed, we thought he was the best here this week. It was probably our last bid, and it is big price, but he has French premiums [see the catalogue updates] and so there is a chance to get the money back as he will be trained by Henri-Francois in France."
The colt is from the family of the Group race winners Loup Breton and Lil'wing, and of the champions Loup Sauvage and Loup Solitaire. (16:35)
Lot 1210: "We have about 50-50 pinhooks and homebreds," explained John Foley of Ballyvolane Farm after selling the Lope De Vega colt for 325,000gns to Shadwell.
This colt was in the pinhooked half of the draft, bought for 90,000gns from Chasemore Farm last autumn. (16:27)
Lot 1207: a brave pinhook by Jamies Rialton paid off today – last year he and his team paid €115,000 for a colt by Make Believe and out of Lady Shanghai. Today, Shadwell bought the year-older colt off the consignor for 210,000gns.
The Pat Beirne & Make Believe Syndicate-bred colt is a half-brother to the Abernant Stakes (G3) and Prix de l'Abbaye (G1) third Hamza, as well as two further winners for the dam. Grandstand, her two-year-old of this year, has been placed three times this summer. (16:03)
Lot 1165: the appeal for stock by No Nay Never continues.
This colt out of Jacquelin Jag, a Fayruz full-sister to the Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes winner Fayr Jag, is bought by agent Alex Elliott on behalf of football agent and racehorse owner Kia Joorabchian, for 450,000gns.
Manchester City's winger Riyad Mahrez is one of Joorabchian's clients and the agent races his horses under the Amo Racing Limited banner.
"This horse is a perfect physical, he is hard to fault," said Elliott, "and, of course, No Nay Never has carried all before him this year. We probably stretched a little, but we are looking for horses for Royal Ascot.
"We bought three in Book 1 and I am delighted we have secured this colt - he was on the 'must have' list."
It was a superb pinhook result for Ballyphilip Stud as the colt was bought as a foal for €40,000. The farm's Paul McCartan said: "He is fabulous horse, the nicest horse I have had on the farm since Battaash, but a lot is to do with the amazing year that No Nay Never has had.
"It was my wife Marie who found him at the sales and she told me then 'I know the man I am going home with today, and it's not you!'" (14:43)
Lot 1146: a second yearling sale at Tattersalls for the County Cork-based Morna McDowall is a successful one - her No Nay Never filly, the half-sister to two winners from two runners for the mare, is bought by Charlie Gordon-Watson / MV Magnier for 200,000gns. Her first yearling offered earlier this week - Lot 818 by Acclamation - was bought by Clive Cox for 50,000gns.
"I bought the No Nay Never privately from the breeder," said McDowall, who was slightly shell-shocked by the result. "She is a very athletic filly and has gone down well since she has been here. No Nay Never has certainly helped this year, the filly is out of a Galileo mare and the right people were interested."
The March-born filly was bred by Julie Lynch's Fastnet Stud
Although McDowall was selling yearlings at Tattersalls for the first time, she is no stranger to sales at Newmarket: she was Grove Stud's breeze-up jockey for six or seven years and has sold breeze-up horses herself. She turned to foal pinhooking last year after she broke her arm.
This is by far McDowall's biggest result at Tattersalls to date. (13:44)
Lot 1143: the stars were aligned for this colt – he is by the leading first-season sire Kingman and from the leading consignor Newsells Park Stud.
It was fitting that he was bought by this week's leading purchaser, Shadwell Estate, for 200,000gns. (13:30)
Lot 1118: owner-breeder Cyril Humphries slightly rued the sale of his Oasis Dream filly but, as he said after her 280,000gns sale to Shadwell, "you have to put money back into the treasury!"
"She was born in France and prepped by Barton Stud for this sale," continued Humphries. "She always has been a wonderful filly and I was tempted to keep her, but I have four other fillies from the family.
"The mare is in-foal to Iffraaj and this means I can go back to him or Oasis Dream again."
The pedigree is all about speed and the Royal Applause mare Goleta is a half-sister to Chineur. He was bred by Humphris and won the 2005 King's Stand Stakes (G2) when the race was run at York. (12:46)
Lot 1112: the trading duo of Mark Dwyer and Willie Browne get a good pinhooking result with this son of No Nay Never - the colt was purchased as a foal for €110,000 and sold today through Oaks Farm Stables to SackvilleDonald for 250,000gns.
"We just got lucky - some you win and some you lose," smiled Browne. "We took a bit of a punt on a first-season sire and he has done so well this year that it has come off. This is a very nice horse and he vetted well."
The March colt was bred by Ms Siobhan O’Rahilly and was sold as a foal by Seskin Stud. (12:26)
Lot 1100: the Australian ownership group Spicer Thoroughbreds and Justin Bahen's Bahen Bloodstock team up to buy this colt by first-season sire Sea The Moon, sold by Stauffenberg Bloodstock.
Already named Feuermond, he was bred by Gestut Gorlsdorf and is a first foal out of Frau Anna (Kallisto). She is a half-sister to the EP Taylor Stakes (G1) winner Fraulein.
It is the extended family of the champion Anna Paola, a champion two-year-old and three-year-old in Germany in 1980 and 1981, and of Billesdon Brook, winner of this year's 1,000 Guineas (G1). (11:59)
Lot 1098: the Yeomanstown-consigned Kodic colt, a half-brother to Move Over (runner-up in the Gran Criterium (G2)) and a 65,000gns pinhook, is bought by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock for 170,000gns.
"He is for a Hong Kong-based client," said Anthony Stroud. "The mare Framed is a half-sister to Prolific [renamed Able Speed in Hong Kong], who has been a good horse there." (11:46)
Lot 1074: Stroud Coleman Bloodstock buys a second lot this am, going to 150,000gns for the Showcasing colt from Bearstone Stud.
The January colt is a half-brother to the King Power-owned Well Done Fox (Acclamation), winner of the Dragon Stakes (L), and runner-up in both the Flying Childers (G2) and Cornwallis Stakes (G3). He is rated 107 and was a Book 2 225,000gns purchase by SackvilleDonald. (11:20)
Lot 1067: is our first lot on Day 3 to sell for six-figures - the daughter of Sea The Stars, sold by Highclere Stud, fetching 160,000gns. She was bought by John & Jake Warren.
The filly is the first foal out of the Excellent Art mare Emaratiya Ana, a half-sister to the Group 3 winner and Sun Chariot Stakes (G1) runner-up Summitville. (10:35)
Lot 1065: record-breaking winning trainer Mark Johnston, who had such success training Shamardal, buys this colt by the sire for 50,000gns.
Today's purchase is out of the Listed-placed mare Elshabakiya (Diktat) and was sold by Genesis Green Stud. (10:26)
Lot 1059: the only son of Declaration Of War catalogued in Book 2 is bought by Sackville Donald for 62,000gns.
He was bred and sold by Rathbarry Stud. (10:09)
After a solid day's trade on Day 2 which saw a top price of 450,000gns given for the Siyouni filly sold by Corduff Stud - the second-best price ever given for a Book 2 filly – we move on today to Day 3 - follow all the details here on sale day live and on twitter @tattersalls1766 (09:49)

Lot 1002: this daughter of No Nay Never is added to the Kingcraft Bloodstock purchases, the team going to 260,000gns to secure the Highclere Stud-consigned filly by this year's leading first-season sire.
"We were blown out yesterday so we are delighted to have bought these today," said former jockey Paul King of Kingcraft Bloodstock. "They are all sprint types so we hope will suit Australia and the style of racing there.
"They will be given plenty of time to mature and adjust to the conditions and should be able to slot into the routine."
King retired from race riding just a month ago and these are the first horses purchased in his new bloodstock venture.
He had a very successful riding career and was based for a long time in Western Australia. In total, he rode 1,365 winners in his home nation, as well as in countries such as Malaysia, Mauritius and Macau. He also rode 16 Group 1 winners, and he is looking forward to sitting on these youngsters once they have graduated to track work.
Trainer Kim Waugh, who was with King, was at one time a harness racing driver, however her most notable success as a trainer so far has been victory in the Sydney Cup with the stayer Mahtoum.
Waugh's training yard is at the Wyong racetrack, an hour north of Sydney and she will train all three of today's purchases. (19:07)
Lot 989: already named Cassandra, the Dansili filly from Stauffenberg Bloodstock is bought by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock for 360,000gns. Underbidder was Alastair Donald.
"She is a very nice filly, very athletic," said Anthony Stroud. "It was a little more than perhaps we were anticipating, but we were up against a formidable opponent. Her two-year-old half-brother Catan, who has won recently, looks a promising sort, is rated 97 and he is the only runner for the mare so far.
"As was also seen last week, good fillies can be very valuable."
By Dansili, the March-born filly is out of the Shirocco mare Capicherea, daughter of the Preis der Diana (G2) winner Centaine, and she is a half-sister to Calrissian, the winner of 25 races in Denmark, France, Germany and Sweden, including the Taby Open Championship (G3) and three Listed races.
In the back pedigree is the Grade 1 winner of the Yellow Ribbon Invitational Bonne Ile. (18:13)
Lot 985: the bay colt by new yearling sire Gutaifan and out of the Listed Bosra Sham Stakes winner Cape Factor (Oratorio) is bought by Shadwell Estate for 200,000gns.
He was sold by Yeomanstown Stud, which also stands the son of Dark Angel (18:05)
Lot 975: the Kingman ex Bugie d'Amore colt from Haras de Saint Pair, France was bought by SackvilleDonald for 280,000gns.
Alastair Donald said: “I think that the sire speaks for himself, he averaged highly last week. Both of this colt's siblings have achieved ratings of 90 or more and was a lovely individual. He was good looking and also well balanced.”
It is the first year that Andreas Putsch's Haras de Saint Pair has consigned in Book 2. The farm has averaged 210,000gns for the two lots sold.
Kingman's average in Book 1 was 314,714gns. So far this week in Book 2 it is 243,571gns for seven sold, with the top price yesterday of 750,000gns given for the colt out of Reem and sold by Hazelwood Bloodstock to Stroud Coleman Bloodstock. (18:00)
Lot 974: the January-born Siyouni filly sold by Corduff Stud is bought by Shadwell Stud for 450,000gns. It is the second-best ever price for a filly sold in Book 2.
"We bought her dam at auction from the Aga Khan's draft on the advice of Blandford Bloodstock," said David Egan of Corduff Stud. "She is from an original Lagardere family.
"We knew the filly today had lots of interest and she was making lists, but it is very difficult to value them to that.
"The mare had a Lope De Vega filly this year and is in-foal to Dabirsim."
Purchaser Angus Gold of Shadwell Estates said: "Sheikh Hamdan was very keen to buy fillies this week, and she was on the list very early on. She is a very nice filly with a great attitude - her ears were pricked the whole time.
"I didn't think that we'd have to go that far, but the Sheikh very much wanted her and John Gosden was keen too - I guess that is where she will go into training."
Underbidder was Juddmonte, while Stephen Hillen was also involved in the bidding process. (17:41)
Lot 963: the Kingman colt, the second foal out of Boston Rocker (Acclamation), sells for 200,000gns, bought by Blandford Bloodstock.
Sold by Ballyhimikin Stud, the colt was bred by a group including James Hanly and Skymarc Farm. The mare was raced by The Socrates Partnership and finished second in the Ballyogan Stakes (G3).
Her first foal by Lope De Vega was bought by Roger Varian here last year for 500,000gns. He is now named San Donato, is the winner of two races and is rated 93. After his last success, the post-race report said he "romped clear, quite impressive". (17:17)
Lot 962: is another sale of a Hot Streak colt for 220,000gns to Kingcraft Bloodstock. This time the colt was a 40,000gns pinhook by Jamie Railton Bloodstock.
"This colt has a really fast page and is full of two-year-olds," said Rialton. "He has done the rest himself, I just made sure I didn't get in the way.
"I have a number of differing investment groups and I am so pleased that those who have invested have got a result."
The colt is a first foal out Bossanova Lady, who is a Street Boss half-sister to the the dam of the talented juvenile fillies La Rioja and Pastoral Girl. (17:07)
Lot 939: the sale of the Zoffany colt - named Romeo at home, more of that below - to The Hong Kong Jockey Club for 240,000gns reduces most of the group involved in BB Bloodstock, breeder of the colt, to tears.
The group of friends Lynn Lambert, Stephen Russell and Val Beeson owned the mare Bahia Breeze (Mister Baileys) as a racehorse, and sold her on when she came to the end of her career. She had done them proud on the track – under the guidance of trainer Rae Guest she won at Listed level and finished second four times at Group class, including in the Betfred Mile (G2) at Sandown. They sold her to Sir Eric Parker's Crimbourne Stud.
Her first foal bred by Parker was the Listed-placed Brioniya (Pivotal).
Lambert, who ran out of the sale ring in tears today, takes up the story.
"I went down to see her a couple of times at Crimbourne," she recalled, still wiping away her tears. "I don't have kids and I am afraid I became a bit of stalker! It is a bit of a love story....
"When Sir Eric died, she was put back in the sales and I spent all my savings on her - Rae bought her for me for 65,000gns. I then had a panic as I was not sure how I was going to pay for her - it was all the money I had - but Stephen and Val came back into the ownership group.
"She was in-foal to Zoffany and she boards at Pantile Stud. We decided to sell this colt as a yearling because all her best sales had been as yearlings – we can't believe this has happened!
"Houghton Bloodstock consigned him today as she always went there on her holidays when in training."
Recalling how they got involved in racing in the first place, Lambert said: "Well that's quite a long story too, and an amount of alcohol had been drunk..."
I think we'll leave that story for another day.
Bo Hicks-Little, stud manager of Pantile Stud, said: "He has always been a lovely colt - hence his name. I am so pleased for BB Bloodstock - they are fantastic people and it is a wonderful thing to happen."
Bahia Breeze had a filly foal by Twilight Son this spring and is in-foal to Nathaniel. (16:25)
Lot 937: the son of new yearling sire Hot Streak will be heading to race in Australia.
He was purchased by Paul King of Kingcraft Bloodstock, who said: "This is my first purchase at Tattersalls and he is for a Hong Kong client. He will ship direct to Australia and will be trained there by Kim Waugh, wife of cricketer Mark Waugh.
"He is a lovely sort, has a good walk and strong body," said King. "He looks a sharp sort and should suit Australia."
It was another good sale this week for Whatton Manor Stud, which has had four lots sell for 100,000gns plus, and yesterday sold the Gleneagles ex Rivara colt to SackvilleDonald for 200,000gns.
It was a great pinhook result as the colt had been purchased via Portanova Bloodstock for just 20,000gns from Tweenhills Bloodstock, the stallion stands at Tweenhills Farm and Stud.
"I am thrilled," said Ed Player of Whatton Manor. "I have to thank David Redvers as he recommended the colt to us last year." (16:20)
Lot 932: Tina Rau fights off opposition from Richard Brown and Federico Barberini to buy the Kingman colt offered by Hazelwood Bloodstock.
"Kingman is a hot sire and he is a first foal out of the good mare Astrelle. This colt is very light on his feet and a gorgeous sort," said Rau. "He goes to Germany and to the training operation Stall Salzburg." (16:10)
