Lot 243: M C Muldoon is going jumping having been bought by agent Harold Kirk for trainer Willie Mullins.
"This sale has been lucky for me," said Kirk. "In 2016, I bought Low Sun, winner of this year's Cesarewitch, and Stratum, a good handicapper owned by Tony Bloom, winner of the JLT Cup at Newbury.
"This horse is a very good horse – he is bred to stay and loosk the right sort. He'll go jumping and then come back to the Flat."
Rated 96, M C Muldoon did not run at two and won his three-year-old maiden over a mile on his career debut. He finished second in the Listed Prix Ridgway over 1m2f in June. (15:55)
Lot 228: Leaderboard is transferring down under to New Zealand having been purchased by syndicator Fortuna Racing, whose leading horse is this September's dual Group 1 winner Melody Belle.
The son of Street Cry was signed for by De Burgh Equine, but it was young agent Will Johnson in charge of bidding.
"He should suit the ground conditions and the race programme in New Zealand. He is a son of Street Cry, who has done so well with horses in the region, notably Winx," smiled Johnson. "He is a lovely physical and has improved as he has gone up in distance – the dream is to get to the Melbourne Cup!" (15:34)
Lot 218: the bidding opened up at 50,000gns for the Carriganog Racing-consigned Eagle Song, a son of the leading first-season sire No Nay Never. It was Red Baron's Barn & Rancho Temescal who were successful at 160,000gns.
The colt boosts two winning updates since the catalogue was published (two victories over 7f at Dundalk) and he is now rated 95.
"He should like the fast ground conditions in California," said Tim Cohen of Red Baron's Barn, a previous purchaser at the Autumn Horses In Training Sale. "We can also run him in 1st allowance races, which is a huge advantage as he will be taking on horses who have just won their maidens. We like coming here to buy good horses!"
The 1st allowance races are eligible for any winners, and they can even be multiple winners, who have not won an individual race that is worth more than $10,000. It provides a very good first base for horses imported to California from Britain.
Red Baron's Barn leading purchase from six horses purchased at 2017's Horses In Training Sale is River Boyne, who has won a Listed race and finished Grade 2-placed since shipping stateside. (15:22)
Lot 207: James Cook, the 97-rated son of Galileo, who finished fourth in the 1m2f Listed Blue Riband Trial, is bought by Andriy Ostapchuk of Imperial Bloodstock for 42,000gns.
"He is heading to Uzbekistan for stallion duties," reported Ostapchuk, who is based in France but was originally from the Ukraine. He is a graduate of the two-year international Darley Flying Start education programme. "He has a very good page, he was ok on the racecourse and, of course, he is by Galileo."
A winner as a juvenile, James Cook is out of the dual Group 1 winner Red Evie and is a full-brother to the dual European champion filly Found, and to two further Group 3 winners.
Racing is Uzbekistan is attracting government funding, with development of the only racetrack in the country. (14:55)
Lot 182: young trainer Gavin Hernon buys the 93-rated Mutarabby, a son of Tamayuz, from Shadwell for 52,000gns. The gelding has won and placed in eight of his nine career starts.
"He had a good rating as a two-year-old and he has carried that form forward," said Hernon, whose yard is at Chantilly, France. "He stays 1m4f and we felt he will suit racing conditions in France and we'd hope will get to Listed class.
"He is for a Chinese-based syndicate called Panda King Racing. We have bought yearlings this year, including a couple in Book 2."
Hernon started training just this summer and will be hoping his early form will continue - he has had six runners and three winners. (14:24)
Lot 153: a second purchase this morning for Voute Sales going to 60,000gns for the Big Bad Bob filly Hollydaze.
Trained by Richard Hughes, she is a dual winner over a mile and 1m2f, and is BHA rated 88 having won off a mark of 85. (13:28)
Lot 108: Chris Waller Racing is a great supporter of the Autumn Horses In Training Sale (purchased seven horses here last year), and his agent Guy Mulcaster makes his first purchase of the week on the behalf of the Australian trainer, going to 60,000gns for Shuhood, sold by Dominion Racing Stables (I. Williams).
A son of Tamayuz, he is rated 83 on the Flat and last won at Doncaster in August. It is the three-year-old gelding's second HIT sale appearance - he was bought for 30,000gns by Williams here last year. (12:34)
Lot 91: Rebel Surge, a daughter of Kodiac and a Listed third in the 6f Boadicea Stakes at the beginning of October, is bought by Bobby O'Ryan.
"She is a tough lady – she has run 44 times, won three races and been placed 12 times- and is talented too," said O'Ryan of the 86-rated mare. "She will visit Rajasinghe next spring, and then may race on when she's in-foal."
Rajasinghe was also trained by Richard Spencer for Rebel Racing and as a two-year-old gave connections Royal Ascot success when winning the Coventry Stakes (G2). He will be standing not far from where he was trained at the National Stud at a fee of £5,000.
"He is a lovely colt and he was a fast horse," added O'Ryan. (12:07)
Lot 82: the two-year-old colt Reconnaissance (Lope De Vega) is purchased by Federico Barberini for 33,000gns from the Jamie Railton draft, consigning on behalf of Qatar Racing.
The colt finished fourth at Brighton last time out at the beginning of October. (11:46)
Lot 20: Jawshan, who has been placed three times as a three-year-old, is bought by trainer Ian Williams for 13,000gns.
Williams has an exciting week ahead - as he is trainer of the Melbourne Cup 7-1 favourite, Magic Circle. The Makfi six-year-old gelding is a 2017 Tattersalls Horses In Training graduate - he was purchased here by Williams last autumn for 70,000gns.
Rated 109, the Dr Marwan Koukash-owned gelding has not run since winning the Group 3 Henry II Stakes in May. (10:52)
Lot 10: Voute Sales strikes early and purchases War Department, a son of Frozen Power and sold by Belstane Racing Stables (K. Dalgleish)
The five-year-old is now the winner of six having collected a further two races over 7f at Newcastle in October. (10:26)

At the conclusion of Book 4 of the 2018 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony commented:
“More than 160 million guineas has been spent at this year’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sale which is not only unprecedented, but also a record sum for the seventh consecutive year.
"The figures are mighty impressive, and the single most important contributory factor to this record-breaking sequence is the professionalism and dedication of the consignors, one and all, who bring yearlings of outstanding quality to the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale every year.
“The Tattersalls October Yearling Sale is Europe’s premier yearling sale because of the consignors. They bring the best yearlings from Britain, Ireland, France and further afield to the October Yearling Sale and year after year these yearlings go on to achieve great things on the racecourse.
"Books 1, 2 and 3 have all produced Group 1 and Royal Ascot winners in 2018, purchased for as little as 10,000gns and that is why buyers at all levels of the market and from all over the world hold the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale in such high esteem.
“There have been highlights and success stories at all levels of the market, from the 3.5 million guineas Book 1 headliner to the 135,000gns sale-topping pinhooking triumph in Book 3, but above all we should recognise and applaud the collective dedication and hard work of every individual who has contributed to a seventh consecutive record breaking Tattersalls October Yearling Sale." "She is the first horse I have consigned - I am delighted with that result," smiled Thurtle after the filly realised 13,000gns in the sale ring, and was bought by Rabbah Bloodstock.
Dee/Davis Bloodstock paid €3,000 for the filly as a foal last autumn, and Thurtle added: "We bought her in Ireland and Camacho has had a great year - we've been lucky. She is a lovely filly, she was really busy in the ring up here, I am so pleased." (11:34)
Lot 2034: the Cityscape filly goes to Martyn John MacLeod makes 15,000gns. She is the first foal out of the Mount Nelson mare Beautifulwildthing, a full-sister to Veliefendi Listed winner Iskra and a daughter of the Oak Leaf Stakes (G1) third Euro Empire.

Lot 2006: "He is going to breeze," said Yvonne Kennedy of Sherbourne Lodge after spending 12,000gns on the son of Bated Breath.
"We had a bit of luck with a colt by the sire in Book 2 and we had good sales through Book 1 and Book 2."

Lot 1921: "The colt is for an existing client," reported Federico Barberini. "This is a lovely sprinting sort and from a fast family, and the mare has already produced a good runner."
That horse is the Charlie Hills-trained Glory Fighter, a winner at two this year and rated 92.
Joint-breeder Jan Hopper, on crutches, was at the sale ring to see her yearling sell.
"We are delighted," said Hopper, who also bred his dam Isola Verde and grand-dam Firenze, and breds this colt in partnership with Mike and Michelle Morris. "He has always been a lovely type. The mares board at the National Stud and Tim [Lane] and his team have done a fabulous job getting him ready for this sale."
Isola Verde had an Iffraaj filly this year and is in-foal to Equiano, while grand-dam Firenze has an Iffraaj yearling and a Twilight Son foal.
Isola Verde is by Oasis Dream and the cross with Sepoy has already worked well - his Group 2 winner Unforgetable Filly is out of an Oasis Dream mare. (18:55)
Lot 1882: sisters Susie Sands (does the prep work) and Sarah O'Neill (breeder) were delighted with their day – their Dragon Pulse filly out of O'Neill's Teofilo mare Fillothewisp was bought by Joe Foley for 40,000gns.
"She was a beautiful filly right from the day she was born, and she is the first foal we have reared at home in Ireland and she has always been a standout," said O'Neill. "We bought the mare privately and this is her first foal - it is just fantastic to get the mare off to so well.
"We decided on covering her as a maiden mare with Dragon Pulse because he gets good-looking and honest horses - we thought he was ideal for a young mare needing a good start."
Ahead of the sale, the filly was prepped by sister Susie Sands at Grovewood Stud in Suffolk, and Sands led up the March-born filly herself.
"We came up to the ring in good time, and straight away I was getting the feeling people liked her," said Sands. "We were out of the ring for inspections more than we went round.
"I am so pleased for Sarah, but for the filly herself - she is lovely horse, a great mover and really deserved her price. I am so pleased that she is heading to such a good home and wish all the connections the best with her."
She is the third lot bought by Foley today - all of whom have been fillies. (18:28)
Lot 1865: Federico Barberini buys the Kingman filly out of Duce, the Observatory full-sister to the brilliant champion racehorse and four-time Group 1 winner Twice Over, on behalf of French breeze-up consignor Paul Basquin of Haras du Saubouas. She cost 55,000gns.
"She will go breezing and joins a No Nay Never filly, whom we purchased last night," reports Barberini, who outbid Johnny Collins. "They are both popular sires and ideal to go to the breeze ups."
As we draw towards the conclusion of the October yearling sales, Barberini reflected: "I think the horses have been graded very well over the two weeks - there have been nice horses that you would want to buy for clients at all the levels. It is an important thing to get right." (17:12)
Lot 1841: Cosmodrome's daughter by Zoffany, bred by Fittocks Stud, makes 60,000gns, bought by Richard Fitzsimons of BBA Ireland. Mark Johnson was underbidder, the trainer particularly interested in the filly as he trains the High Chaparral winning half-sister Snax, whom he bought for 17,000gns in Book 2 last year.
"She might go breezing," said Fitzsimons. "She's a big strong filly and there's a lot going on in the family - there are Dubawis and Kingmans coming through under the second dam, so she'll always have some residual value." (17:03)
Lot 1827: the sole lot by Mazameer in the Book 3 sale 2018 makes 25,000gns, purchased by today's busy buyer Tim Easterby.
Sire Mazameer (Green Desert) won the Group 3 Prix de Cabourg, while dam Cassique Lady), won three races at three and four years, including the Warwickshire Oaks Stakes (L) and was placed second in Lillie Langtry Stakes (G3). (15:48)
Lot 1806: on behalf of Sunderland Holding, John Clarke buys this Born To Sea filly out of the Listed placed King's Best mare Best Side.
"She is a sweet filly, I liked her a lot," said Clarke. "She goes to France, no trainer has been decided."
The filly was a pinhook sale - Troy Steve having purchased for Bill and Amber Dash of Piermill Bloodstock, which is based near Cambridge.
"We have only been involved in the business for a couple of years," said Bill Dash. "We do it all ourselves and just have three or four foals each year. Troy has been really helpful buying the horses and drops in too, just to make sure we are heading in the right direction! We have had some sell well and others not so successfully - we are delighted with this result."
The filly was bred by Northmore Stud, who were also on hand to see today's sale. The pedigree has received a couple of handy updates this summer - Best Of Days has been Group 3 placed in Australia and has a Melbourne Cup entry, while the two-year-old Foxtrot Liv (Foxwedge) has finished second in both the Weld Park Stakes (G3) and the Listed Ingabelle Stakes. (14:59)
Lot 1779: the Harbour Watch half-brother to Santa Monica (Mastercraftsman), second in Glens Falls Stakes (G2) and third in E P Taylor Stakes (G1) since the catalogue was printed, is going into training with Brian Meehan having been bought today by Sam Sangster Bloodstock for 37,000gns.
"We were screaming at the TV on Saturday hoping that Santa Monica would get her head in front in the EP Taylor," smiled breeder David Erwin who sold today's colt through Fernham Farm. "We have full-sister coming to the December Foal Sale."
Santa Monica won the Group 3 Munster Oaks Stakes last July and went through the ring at the December Mares Sale last year. She shipped to the US and has won and placed on all her starts stateside, her last run being her first Grade 1 placing. (14:03)
Lot 1763: this colt by The Factor, the son of War Front based at Lane's End Farm, Kentucky, is sold to Five Star Bloodstock for 21,000gns. He was bought as a foal in the US for $4,000.
He is a half-brother to five winners, and his Mt Livermore dam Travelling Alone is a half-sister to Union Rags, the Grade 1 winner of the Champagne Stakes and Belmont Stakes, and to the dam of Declaration Of War, a dual champion and winner of the International Stakes (G1) and the Queen Anne Stakes (G1).
The Factor has had one Grade 1 winner so far - Noted And Quoted, successful in the Chandelier Stakes at Santa Anita.
The Wesley Ward-trained Bound For Nowhere finished third in the Golden Jubilee Stakes (G1) this year behind Merchant Navy. (13:37)
Lot 1730: Ed Vaughan Racing spends 30,000gns on the daughter of Hallowed Crown bred by West Lodge Stud.
The mare Snowdrops is a black-type winner at Grade 3 level in the US. She is the dam of five winners from seven runners, and her Invincible Spirit daughter Tawhid won the Horris Hill Stakes (G3) at Newbury.
It is the extended family of the Eclipse Stakes (G1) winner, Tenby. (12:39)
Lot 1721: is heading to Yorkshire having been purchased by trainer Tim Easterby.
"I like the Gutaifans and this colt is from a fast family. He is a really nice young horse, is for Reality Racing and will be syndicated," said Easterby of the colt who cost 27,000gns.
He is out of the winning dam Scent Of Summer (Rock Hard Ten), who was rated 81 and won over 5f. (12:01)
Lot 1706: the bay daughter of Ivawood from the Elkington Stud draft is bought by Joe Foley for 40,000gns.
“She was very well presented by the team at Elkington,” said Foley. “She’ll come back to Ballyhane to be pre-trained and come the spring, we’ll decide where she’ll go to be trained.
“She’s a smashing filly out of a Pivotal mare who is herself out of a Singspiel mare. And she’s from that very good John Greetham family.”
She is out of the one-time winner Romp, who is by the good broodmare sire Pivotal, and is a grand-daughter of Short Affair, runner-up in the Premio Dormello (G3).
It is the further family of the two Yorkshire Oaks (G1) runner-ups Whitewater Affair and Short Skirt; Victoire Pisa, a champion colt in Japan, and new yearling sire Cappella Sansevero, third in the Phoenix Stakes (G1). (11:30)
Lot 1661: Group 1-winning trainer Michael Dods, who bought eight horses yesterday, adds to the collection today purchasing this colt by Mayson for 47,000gns. Underbidder was Amy Murphy.
"He is a lovely big strong horse with good bone and a walk," said Dods.
The colt, sold by Redgate Bloodstock, is a half-brother to two winners from three runners, including the six-time winner Dark Defender, who has been consistently rated over 80 since 2015 and has run 40 times. (10:06)

Lot 1617: Ballyhimikin Stud earlier sold Lot 1496 for 100,000gns, and the farm repeats the process with this lot and adds a little more on top - this son of Kodiac is bought by Norman Williamson for 135,000gns.
"He was the stand out lot for us today," said Williamson of the son of the Group 3 winner Lucky (Sadler's Wells). "Mags O'Toole and I saw the colt this morning and loved him. He has come from a great farm, he has some size and hopefully he will come back to breeze in the spring."
Williamson has bought a handful of horses as breeze-up prospects this week and, of the strong market seen this at Tattersalls and last week, he reported: "Trade has been fantastic, if we could afford everything we wanted to buy there would be no point to it! We've got to come back and sell in the spring; we'll deal with that then!"
James Hanley of Ballyhimikin Stud was understandably delighted with the result.
"We bought the colt last autumn - we loved the pedigree and the sire, he is lovely big strong colt by Kodiac. We bought him especially for this Book 3 sale as Tattersalls does such a good job."
The March-born colt's 135,000gns price tag is the second-best ever given for a yearling in Book 3.
And it is a case of lightning striking twice - 2016's record price of 200,000gns was also achieved by a son of Kodiac, who was also consigned by Ballyhimikin Stud. (20:48)
Lot 1608: just three yearlings by Hunter's Light have been catalogued in October yearling sale and this colt is bought by Matt Coleman for 52,000gns.
"I thought he has very typical of a Dubawi, his grand-sire," said Coleman. "He is a half-brother to The Great Heir, who won the Weatherbys sales race at Doncaster in September, and to Buridan, who was a top lot at the French breeze-up sale last year. Both are rated over 90. He is for a couple of guys who have racehorses already. (20:20)
Lot 1548: Katie Walsh of Greenhills Farm buys the No Nay Never filly with a breeze up date in mind. The former jockey, now breeze up consignor, had to go to 80,000gns in order to buy the Whisperview Trading-bred April-born filly.
"It's a lot of money to pay," said Walsh, "and it seems everyone wants a No Nay Never. There's a lot going on in the family."
It is the second time the filly has seen a sales ring - she was purchased in February by Jill Lamb Bloodstock on behalf of a pinhooking client for just €17,000.
The "active" family includes the filly's half-brother Cosmic Horizon (Excelebration), who is the winner of one race this year as a juvenile (rated 94), while her half-sister Damselfly (Power) was Group 3 placed in July and is rated 95. Both are trained by Joseph O'Brien.
Breeder Whisperview Trading, the banner under which Aidan and Annemarie O'Brien breed horses, has enjoyed a fantastic week - last Friday the homebred filly Iridessa won the Group 1 Fillies' Mile. (18:10)
Lot 1538: the half-brother to Sporting Chance, winner of the Prix Eclipse (G3) and the Ripon Champion Trophy Stakes (L) since the publishing of the catalogue, is sold for 90,000gns.
Plenty of interested parties followed the colt into the ring, but the successful purchaser was Kevin Ross, standing on the stairs. Charlie Johnson, standing in the doorway, was underbidder.
"He is a beautiful horse and his dam has already had a good horse from one runner," said Ross. "We knew we'd have to push the boat out.
"He is for Paul and Clare Rooney, who have had a winner today with Good Boy Bobby at Carlisle."
The colt is a son of Champs Elysees, sire of this year's 1,000 Guineas winner Billesdon Brook. He was bred by Ropsley Bloodstock & St Albans Bloodstock and was sold by Whatton Manor Stud.
Sporting Chance is a 41,000gns Tattersalls October Book 2 graduate. (17:37)
Lot 1530: the filly by Tamayuz and out of the Listed placed mare Dutch Rose (Dutch Art) is bought by Ben Harris acting for Ed Walker Racing and Middleham Park Racing.
"She is a smashing filly, an absolute belter," said Harris. "The mare is supposed to be gorgeous too, so it's obviously rubbed off. There is the good recent update too."
The recent pedigree improver is half-brother Sunsprite (Kodiac), placed third in Ripon Champion Trophy Stakes (L).
The filly was sold by Lodge Park Stud. (17:13)
Lot 1496: our first six-figure sum of Book 3, the son of the late Society Rock is bought by Alex Elliott for 100,000gns.
"He is for Jeremy Noseda, and looks a fast horse, a real two-year-old type, a typical horse that Jeremy does so well with," said Elliott. "We have followed a lot of horses through and been underbidder, but am delighted to get this horse. He is from a top farm, James Hanley is a phenomenal producer of a horse."
James Hanly said: "We bred Society Rock and this horse looks the image of his father. We wanted to bring this horse to this sale for the Tattersalls sale race - he should be a spot on type for it as he is a real ready to run two-year-old.
"I like to give the race some support as it is valuable option, and I was confident that there would be a good market for this horse, he is a good horse. I have a similar type by Kodiac to sell later [Lot 1617]." (15:58)
Lot 1490: "He has done his prep with me and has been a very straightforward colt," said Keith Harte after the Footstepsinthesand colt was bought by Powerstown Stud for 50,000gns.
"I think he stood out a little today - he was in the right sale," added Harte, before explaining: "It is a very interesting pedigree as he is by Footsteps and has Footsteps in his third dam."
The colt's dam Cape Rocker, is a daughter of Rockerlong, placed third in the Yorkshire Oaks (G1), and a grand-daughter of the Nassau Stakes (G2) winner Dancing Rocks. (15:32)
