"Ittlingen's mares board with us when they are in Ireland and this mare came to us as a maiden mare and this foal was born with us. She is a gorgeous, beautiful mare, it is wonderful to have such a mare on the farm. This has always been a stunning foal.
"He has a pedigree, too, being from the family of Lando and he is bred on the same cross as Sea The Moon – that of Sea The Stars over Monsun."

She is a half-sister to the National Stakes (L) winner and Mill Reef Stakes (G2) third Global Applause, but, as consignor Robin Knipe of Cobhall Court said, the pedigree has moved forward again in the last month.
"Revelstoke [the juvenile half-brother by Toronado] has been Group 2 placed," said Knipe. "We were hoping for a sale like that."
Knipe's daughter mentioned that Robin and his wife Scarlett would be paying for supper tonight!
Purchaser Damien Burns added: "She had been bought possibly to race. She is bred on the same cross as Kodiac's Group 2 winner and the Whitsbury Stud sire, Adaay." (19:50)
Lot 773 and Lot 774: the last two in the ring from the Newsells Park Stud draft sell for 150,000gns and 170,000gns.
This week's 11-strong draft from Newsells has sold at average price of 55,436gns.
The first is a daughter of Sea The Stars and out of an unraced half-sister to the 1,000 Guineas winner Speciosa from the family of the champion older mare in France, Pride.
The second is a daughter of Dansili and a half-sister to the Group 3 winner Degas. He has also been placed in a number of Group 2 races in Germany, and including since the catalogue was published.
The second dam Diacade was a champion three-year-old filly in Germany.
Both were purchased by Crispin De Moubray SARL. (19:36)
Lot 766: the Iffraaj colt from Dukes Stud sells for 100,000gns and is another purchase by Paca Paca Farm.
Since the publication of the catalogue, his pedigree has enjoyed the significant update of the addition of Breeders' Cup winner - his dam's full-sister Starlet's Sister is now the dam of the Breeder's Cup Filly and Mare Turf winner Sistercharlie. (19:17)
Lot 750: Justin Casse buys this Kodiac colt via Magnolia Bloodstock for 175,000gns.
"He will board in Ireland and will be resold next year," said Casse. "He has a great walk and is a good individual."
The March-born colt was consigned by McCracken Farms, which has sold five foals this week for an average price of 60,000gns and an aggregate of 300,000gns. (18:55)
Lot 745: Penny Cave, breeder of this Showcasing foal in conjunction with Whitsbury Manor Stud, was delighted with the sale of the colt to Joe Foley for 190,000gns.
The mare is a half-sister to the 2014 Phoenix Stakes (G1) winner Dick Whittington, but she was purchased by Cave before he had ever run in a race.
"She was in the 2013 horses-in-training sale and it was blowing a gale," recounted Cave. "A lot of the horses could not get in and I rang Paul [Thorman] and said this might be an opportunity to buy a filly.
"So he said to me that he would go through the catalogue and find six lots, and that I was to do the same and we'd compare the names – Lisiere was the first to come up.
"Aidan O'Brien had bought Dick Whittington as a yearling three weeks before for €280,000 so I was hoping that he would come good! We paid 15,000gns for Lisiere."
Of the decision to send the mare to Showcasing, Cave reported: "Well Showcasing is all-singing and all-dancing, but we could not afford the £35,000 stud fee and Whitsbury very kindly agreed to a foal share."
Cave and her husband Simon keep the mare in a small broodmare band of three at home, the couple foaling down and doing all the work themselves.
This year the mare's first foal Quick Recovery (Lethal Force), whom was sold as a foal for 92,000gns, is now a three-time winner. (18:47)
Lot 734: Nafferty Stud sells the Le Havre colt out of Village Fete for 200,000gns to Paca Paca Farm, a sixth today purchase by the Japanese-based farm.
Village Fete is a Listed-winning daughter of Singspiel and dam of five winners, including the two-time Group 3 winner Kings Fete (King's Best).
She is also a half-sister to the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes third Trade Fair and she was purchased here in 2015 by Nafferty Stud for 27,000gns from Juddmonte Farms. (18:14)
Lot 728: the filly by first-crop sire, the champion juvenile Shalaa, is sold for 160,000gns to Al Shaqab Racing, which stands the stallion at its farm, Haras de Bouquetot.
The filly was consigned by Newsells Park Stud on behalf of breeder Liam Sheridan. The filly's dam, the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes runner-up Full Mandate, was purchased by Jill Lamb on behalf of Sheridan at the 2012 December Mares Sale in for 80,000gns.
Since her purchase the mare has become a half-sister to Profitable, winner of the Group 1 King's Stand Stakes, a Darley sire and by Invincible Spirit.
"It was a fairly obvious decision to send the mare to Shalaa as we wanted to use a son of Invincible Spirit," said Lamb. "Liam is a commercial breeder and as a daughter of a first-crop sire, we thought it was a good point to sell. The mare is in-foal to Kodiac."
Julian Dollar of Newsells Park Stud added: "She is a lovely racy filly and it is great that she has gone to what we'd assume is the end user." (17:53)
Lot 704: achieves Thursday's best price since 2007, the second-best price for the day ever and a record price for a filly sold on the Thursday of the December Foal Sale when fetching 370,000gns.
By Juddmonte's exciting young sire Kingman, she was bought by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock after a prolonged battle with Jamie Railton, who was standing on the stairs.
"Kingman has had a fantastic year," said Anthony Stroud, "and we had to go further than we had thought, but if you really like one then you need to stretch. She does trace back to a very good Wildenstein family."
He added: "She has definitely been bought as a racing prospect!"
The filly was bred by Geoffrey Howard-Spink, who has "two or three mares" including this filly's dam Blue Angel, who boards with Bill Dwan of Castlebridge.
"Blue Angel's first foal Viren's Army was a stakes horse and her second was a good racehorse too, so we decided the mare deserved an upgrade," reported Howard-Spink.
"Kingman was such a good racehorse, which was why we chose him for her - but he had such a good season with his first runners, and everything has just fallen into place. We always try and sell as foals, and this is easily the best result we have had in the sale ring," smiled the breeder.
Consignor Dwan added: "She is a queen, a beautiful filly. She has been very busy here - she was vetted nine times. We were obviously very hopeful, but that certainly exceeded expectations." (17:15)
Lot 700: The Castlebridge Consignment's Showcasing colt makes 140,000gns, bought by Jamie Railton Bloodstock.
"He is for the investment syndicates that we operate and will be back for resale. We thought he was a stand-out physical and Showcasing is clearly a very good sire - we sold Advertise and Quiet Reflection, so hopefully there will be a third good one by the sire," said Railton. (16:59)
Lot 689: the 2017 Kodiac foal out of Gold Well fetched 210,000gns here last year and the mare does another good turn for her breeder Brian Kennedy's Meadowlands Stud – today her 2018 Acclamation colt makes 130,000gns.
He was purchased by the Australian-based Aquis Farm and the farm's chief executive officer Shane McGrath has been at Tattersalls this week.
"He is the stand-out colt of the day, and is by an established sire. He is a quality sort with a big hip and a good walk. He is for a syndicate and will be reconsigned," said McGrath.
Explaining the decision to come to purchase at Tattersalls, McGrath added: "We have racehorses and stallion farms in differing locations, and it is all about expanding the horizons." (16:41)
Lot 680: another strike for Showcasing... his Trickledown Stud-consigned filly fetches 90,000gns.
She is a grand-daughter of State Crystal, winner of the Lancashire Oaks (G3), runner-up in the Sun Chariot Stakes (G2) and third in the Yorkshire Oaks (G1). (16:12)
Lot 662: the colt by Ballylinch Stud's Prix du Jockey Club (G1) winner New Bay makes 80,000gns. He was consigned by Baroda & Colbinstown Studs and bought by Hamish Macauley / Aughamore.
The colt's mare Glorification (Champs Elysees) is from the Juddmonte Group 1 family of Dance Routine, Flintshire and the champion filly and record-breaking daughter of Nathaniel, Enable. (15:54)
Lot 652: "We liked him and Showcasing is out in the open with everything he has done, the idea will be to come back here next year," said Jimmy Murphy of Redpender Stud, buying with Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock.
"Under the second dam is the good horse Ertijaal, a son of Oasis Dream, and obviously Showcasing is a son of Oasis Dream - so hopefully the cross will work!"
The colt was sold by Whitsbury Manor and he is out of the unraced Invasor mare Ealaan, a daughter of Misterah, winner of the Nell Gwyn Stakes (G3). (15:15)
Lot 630: the second lot, and first colt, to sell at Tattersalls by the two-year-old champion Shalaa fetches 100,000gns, bought by Abbeylands Farm from Plantation Stud.
He is out of the Peintre Celebre mare Last Tango, a daughter of the Listed winner L'Etoile De Mer and a half-sister to the Listed winner Lone Ranger. (15:02)
Lot 625: the son of No Nay Never becomes the first foal this week to sell for a six-figure sum when fetching 120,000gns, bought by Fairway Partners.
Purchaser Benoit Jeffroy, standing with Nicolas De Watrigant, said: "He has been bought for some friends and will be for resale. He is a good-looking horse, very athletic and with lots of quality. The sire is on fire!"
The colt was bred by John Yarr, whose mares board with Colin and Joseph Kennedy – brother and nephew to Brian Kennedy of consignor Meadowlands Stud.
"I was looking for some speed to go with the mare," said Yarr. "I had Sou Anguillarina booked in initially to go to Starspangledbanner, but he had a slight dip in fertility and Jason Walsh at Coolmore asked me to pop up and decide whether to stick with him or head elsewhere. He showed me No Nay Never and so it is down to him that this mare was covered by him."
However, it was on an earlier trip to Royal Ascot that Yarr had become aware of the growing Scat Daddy influence.
"I have only been to Royal Ascot once and it was the year that Caravaggio and Lady Aurelia won - I thought the Scat Daddy influence was something worth following."
The mare did eventually get to see Starspangledbanner and is now in-foal to the son of Choisir.
Meadowlands followed up this sale with Lot 623, a colt by Estidhkaar, bought by Yeomanstown Stud for 80,000gns.
Brian Kennedy's Meadowlands Stud is a frequent leading consignor at the December Sale. Last year's top price for the farm was the sale of a Kodiac colt out of Gold Again to Sun Bloodstock for 210,000gns. (14:32)
Lot 618: Paca Paca Farm goes to 65,000gns for the Gleneagles colt out of Reset In Blue (Fastnet Rock), a winner of two Listed races, placed in a Group 3 and the winner of £112,00 in earnings.
She is a half-sister to the Italian Group 3 winner Romantic Wave (Rock Of Gibraltar) and the Italian Listed winner Dematil (Orpen).
The colt's Italian breeders are Scuderia Effevi Srl & Dioscuri Srl, while he was consigned by Castletown Stud, Ireland.
Gleneagles has a further nine lots to sell this week, three of which are colts. (14:18)
Lot 603: a first-ever Tattersalls purchase by Yeomanstown Stud of a foal by leading French-based sire Le Havre.
The Irish farm had to go to 75,000gns to secure the colt out of the Listed winner and 102 rated Regatta (Layman), bred by Deveron Ltd & Framont Ltd and sold by The National Stud.
Le Havre stands at Montfort et Preaux in Normandy and he will be available to breeders at €45,000 next spring. (13:49)
Lot 590: bred by the former footballer and now football manager Joey Barton, this colt by Iffraaj sells for 75,000gns.
"We retained the Kyllachy filly last year and she is in training with Karl Burke," said Mandy Davis of Sporting Chance Racing and who manages Barton's racing interests.
"This colt was always a lovely foal and, as we are aiming to run a commercial and sustainable bloodstock operation, we took the decision to sell and put some funds into the pot."
Out of the Holy Roman Emperor mare My Propeller, a dual Listed race winner, raced by Barton and who now resides with today's consignor Keith Harte, the colt was purchased by Jeff Smith's Littleton Stud.
She is in-foal to Sea The Stars. (13:25)
Lot 580: the first foal offered this week by leading sire Sea The Stars is bought by Tina Rau Bloodstock for 75,000gns.
Sold by Belmont Stud, the filly is out of Surface Of Earth, a US-bred daughter of Empire Maker and a half-sister to Surya, winner of the Dahlia Handicap (G2). (13:00)
Lot 573: the Havana Gold half-sister to the Sceptre Stakes (G3) winner and Cheveley Park Stakes (G1) and Moyglare Stakes (G1) third Kiyoshi is bought by Harry Sweeney of Paca Paca Farm for 95,000gns.
The colt, sold by Mickley Stud, was bred by The Hamloola Partnership, a partnership between Richard Kent and Lady Caroline Lonsdale.
He is out of Mocca, who was owned by Caroline Lonsdale as a racehorse, but sold after her racing days were over. She then reappeared at the sales in December 2015.
"Caroline bought her back and asked me to join her - I am delighted that I made the right decision," said a smiling Richard Kent of Mickley.
"Caroline is the brains of the partnership and she makes all the breeding decisions," joked Kent, with Lonsdale adding: "Richard feeds them and I make the plans!"
The partnership have enjoyed a very good time of things of late - Mickley Stud and Lady Lonsdale are also breeders of this year's Group 1 winner and new Whitsbury Stud stallion, Havana Grey.
"We have breeding rights in Havana Gold," explained Lonsdale. "We are delighted that Havana Grey is at Whitsbury and Richard is going to see him when he comes to Newmarket this weekend."
Mocca, who is by Sri Pekan, had a colt by Havana Gold this year and is back in-foal to the Tweenhills sire again. (12:54)

The purchasers were PSG Bloodstock and Oaks Farm Stables.
The Whitsbury Manor House Stud sire is currently averaging 52,667gns for three lots sold so far this week. He is the leading sire at present by average with two or more lots sold. (10:58)

"This colt looks an early type, and precocious. He has plenty of quality and comes from a good family-operated farm. This is for a syndicate managed by Geoffrey [Howson] and myself, and he will be back at the yearling sales," added Houldsworth.

The farm is hoping to repeat the feat having purchased this filly by the Whitsbury Manor Stud sire for 40,000gns.

Lot 427: Tally-Ho Stud put its name on the buyers' sheet for the first time at this year's foal sale when going to 20,000gns for the son of Adaay from Whitsbury Manor Stud.
Bred by Whitsbury, the April foal is out of the 80-rated 5f winner Sunny York, a three-quarters sister to Varese, a Listed winner in Italy. (16:56)
Lot 423: Troy Steve Bloodstock buys a sixth horse today, picking up this filly by Mehmas for 20,000gns from Yellowford Farm.
She is out of Obsara, a mare by Observatory, and the dam of two winners from three runners.
Acolyte, her oldest foal, has won four races and was rated 95, while Amplify, her two-year-old of this year, finished second on his first career start. He is due to run this weekend at Wolverhampton.
Both are by Acclamation, the sire of Mehmas, who stands at Tally-Ho Stud. (16:53)
Lot 403: "She has been bought to race," said purchaser Justin Casse after spending 80,000gns on this daughter of No Nay Never.
"I think I have bought four by the sire, but this is the first who won't be for resale. Obviously No Nay Never has done well, but he also appeals to the US market because of the Scat Daddy factor.
"It is a little way back, but this filly is from one of the best fillies' families there has been - that of the champion Goldikova.
"If it suits racehorse owners to be a little patient, buying a foal is a good way in."
This filly was sold by Voute Sale on behalf of breeder Killashee House Limited.
After withdrawals, there are five further lots by the son of Scat Daddy catalogued this week.
Casse added with a smile: "This filly is cheaper than sending a mare to the sire now!" (16:05)
Lot 401: offered by Brook Stud, which sold this day's top price last year, a second foal, this time a colt, by Twilight Son makes its way to Cheveley Park Stud for 37,000gns, the farm having spent 30,000gns earlier today on the filly out of Vixen Hill.
This lad is out of Poly Pomona, a Green Desert mare, the dam of one winner from two runners. (15:59)
