Sold by Castletown Stud, he was bred by Dr Klaus Schulte out of the Adlerflug mare Amazone. She is dam of Apadanah (Holy Roman Emperor), winner of a Listed race in Germany, and the Listed and Group 2-placed Ancona (Amaron).

Second dam is Amarette, winner of the Preis der Diana (G1), and an own-sister to the Prix du Jockey-Club (G1)-placed Arras.

The combination also bought the last Invincible Spirit foal on offer – Lot 1005, a colt out of Hypothetically from Trinity Park Stud for 140,000gns.

WH Bloodstock is partnership of Mimi Wadham and Violet Hesketh, Atlas Bloodstock is a UK-US agency run by Kelsey Lupo.

At the October Book 2 Sale this autumn, WH Bloodstock sold an Invincible Spirit colt out of Rajeem for 600,000gns and a Galileo filly out of Night Lagoon for 305,000gns (Lot 385 and Lot 337). (19:32)

Lot 974, the No Nay Never colt out of the Group 1-placed Murrin (Born To Sea), made 270,000gns bought by Jamie McCalmont, the Zoffany colt (Lot 976) out of the Listed Surrey Stakes third Lady Gorgeous and a half-brother to Pretty Gorgeous (Lawman), the Fillies' Mile (G1) winner since the catalogue was published, made 235,000gns. A May foal, he was bought by Joseph O'Brien, trainer of the Group 1-winning half-sister. (18:16)

Since then she has bred the Mill Reef Stakes (G2) winner Alkumait, the Listed winner The Broghie Man and the Listed-placed Groves Lynch.

"Dad bought the mare, the only mare he has bought in the last seven years, I did not know he was buying her," smiled Ed Harper of Whitsbury. "But from the very first foal, she has thrown nice horses. In the February of his two-year-old career I remember getting a phone call from trainer Brendan Duke who trained The Broghie Man saying I think you've bred a very good horse here. He wasn't wrong.

"Since that phone call it has been all the way up with this mare. We noticed very quickly that we needed to step her up in terms of coverings - hence the Frankel cover."

Of this foal, Harper said: "For a young foal [he was born in May] he has such sound head on him. Nothing phases him, not the travel, not the prep, he was only weaned a couple of weeks before prep – as long as he is well fed he isn't bothered!

"I am so pleased Juddmonte have got him, it is going to be so satisfying to see him in the pink and green. I am delighted I really appreciate the fact they have bought him. I have to thank my staff, too."

Of plans for the mare, Harper said: "This was a late foal so we did not cover her, a lot of ideas are being pushed around the table, maybe a return to Showcasing to repeat Alkumait, maybe, because she is empty, she can go a bit further afield. Everything is on the table."

Simon Mockeridge, stud director at Juddmonte, said: "He is an incredibly well-balanced foal, he is a strong foal. The mare has already produced two very good horses and the mare suited Frankel. This is the kind of animal that we are looking for. We struggled to buy yearlings, they were making a lot of money. We have got two by Frankel today so we are very happy." (18:04)

Dubawi is now responsible for six of the top ten prices achieved at the December Foal Sale since 2000.

Both colts were bought by Godolphin – Lot 939 is out of Dane Street (Street Cry), the dam of SkitterScatter, the champion two-year-old filly in Ireland of 2018 and winner of the Moyglare Stud Stakes (G1), bred by Sonia Rogers and Airlie Stud, while Lot 944 was bred by German breeder Gerhard Schoeningh out of Baisse and sold by Fittocks Stud.

Anthony Stroud, buying for Godolphin, said of Lot 939: "He is from a great nursery, he is by Dubawi who we absolutely love. He is a very good looking, very athletic individual. In all these decisions, we are just trying to aim for quality and this horse David and I really liked, hence we bid."

Of the colt out of Baisse, Sara Cumani of Fittocks said: "We are delighted with where she has gone, we are delighted with the underbidder, we are thrilled we are able to be here at the sale.

"The two-year-old full-sister Summerland is with Charlie Appleby, the yearling [Nathaniel] is called Beau Rivage, but the owner has not decided where she is going into training yet, but she is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. The mare is in-foal to Frankel and going to Sea The Moon. She is gorgeous mare and it is the only mare Gerhard Schoeningh has and she boards with us."

The first foal out of Baisse was named Best Of Days, a 2014 foal by Azamour. He won the Cantala Stakes at Flemington (G1), the Royal Lodge Stakes (G2) and the Coongy Handicap at Caulfield (G3). (17:17)

"We had Lullaby Moon by Belardo this year who won the Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy and the Group 3 Prix Miesque, she will head to the Fred Darling next year and could be Guineas filly," said Elliott. "I thought this colt was flawless, he vetted perfectly. He is a half-brother to the Gimcrack winner who showed phenomenal speed then, and is a very very good horse.

"We stretched to buy this foal, but if he had been here as a yearling he'd have been even more. It is great that we have got him. The dream when we buy anything is Royal Ascot, we hope in a few years he'll be one for there."

This is a first foal purchase for Amo, and Elliott outlined the decision to buy a foal. "Once you get the pinhookers out of the way there are few principals, and if you are patient enough and can take a long term view, which is what Amo does, I think you can buy value. I am not saying at 280,000gns this foal is value but, if it all fits, which it has a license to do, then we are in with a right chance."

The colt was sold by breeder Ringfort Stud's Derek Veitch, who has enjoyed a stand-out year on the track with the farm's graduates.

"It is brilliant for us. We have had a superb racing year, and this has just topped it all off," he said. "It is nice to be able to have bit of success on the track and then bring a couple of nice foals here; and everyone sort of expects to see them now.

"It is nice when people support you, and some very good people did – I think Angus Gold was underbidder. I am very appreciative of everybody, it is a huge thing to get that sort of money for a foal."

When asked if he was tempted to keep this horse and sell as a yearling, particularly if Minzaal goes on to improve the page again, Veitch smiled and said: "We have always been foal sellers and always going to be, and we are never going to change. If someone buys him and and makes money that's great. It never worries me, all I am concerned about is the bottom line for me. If you are making a profit with a foal who is born in March and sold in November – less risk, no insurance, and they are prone to committing suicide!"

Of plans for the mare Pardoven (Clodovil), Veitch said: "The mare is in-foal to Footsteps. I am not sure what she is doing next spring, we might try and do something similar to the Minzaal cross."

The colt is the most expensive sold in the Tattersalls sale ring by 2020 first-season Belardo to date. He is due to stand at €10,000 for 2021, the same fee he has stood at since 2019. (16:31)

The Listed-placed Hibiscus (Galileo) was bought by John and Jake Warren for Floors in 2017 for 400,000gns. Hibiscus is a daughter of Jacqueline Quest and a half-sister to the Breeders' Cup (G1) winner Line Of Duty and this year's Listed winner Onassis,

Hibiscus's first foal born in 2018 is named Little Miss Rascal (Zoffany) and was sold as a yearling for £32,000, her 2019 foal by Fastnet Rock was bought by Stroud Coleman for 200,000gns at this year's October Book 2 yearling sale.

Lot 905, a bay filly by Invincible Spirit and out of Prance, a daughter of Group 3 winner Cabaret and a half-sister to the 2,000 Guineas winner Magna Grecia and this year's Dewhurst Stakes (G1) winner St Mark's Basilica, makes 155,000gns. She was bought by Blandford Bloodstock.

Lot 904, by Siyouni and out Fusion (Cape Cross), a half-sister to the stud's most famous resident Attraction, the champion two-year-old of 2003, champion three-year-old of 2004 and the winner of ten races, including the English and Irish 1,000 Guineas (G1), is bought by Liam Norris for 92,000gns.

Lot 903, by Lope De Vega and out of Federation (Motivator), another half-sister to Attraction, is bought by Deston Bloodstock for 70,000gns.

The dispersal continues next week when the stud's mares will be offered. (15:41)

The colt is out of Divine (Dark Angel), winner of the Ballyogan Stakes (G3), and from the family of Caradak, winner of the Prix de la Foret (G1), the Celebration Mile (G2) and two Group 3 races. (14:42)

The daughter of Missunited (Golan), the winner of the Lille Langtry Stakes (G3) and dam of the Group 3 winner and Group 1 placed Eagles By Day (Sea The Stars), is sold by Dan and Vanessa Hutch's Whispering Grass Stud to Paca Paca Farm, Japan for 200,000gns. (14:03)

Cathy Grassick of Newtown explained the story behind the colt's sale and the purchase of his dam Lucky Clio.

"Nina was my best friend, we started bid spotting together and that is how I got to know her parents and then they asked me to buy some mares - I bought Lucky Clio and that was the first mare I bought for them," she said.

"I would say there are a couple of very emotional people back in Ireland, we are now selling the full-brother to Phoenix Of Spain and Cherry [Arild's late wife] passed away in the middle of Phoenix Of Spain's career and did not get to see him win the Guineas."

So is the younger full-brother similar in anyway to the Irish 2,000 Guineas winner? Grassick outlined: "He is a different colour to Phoenix abut very similar in temperament and walk – he has the same characteristics. They are unflappable, very athletic and that was what appealed about Phoenix – when he came to the sale he stepped up a gear and handled it really well, and so did this horse. I hope he is very lucky for the buyer, he is a lovely horse."

Of Lucky Clio, who has certainly lived up to her name since her purchase at the December Sale in 2007 for 17,000gns, Grassick said: "The mare is quite petite and pretty and she is a great producer and takes something from every stallion she goes to. She is so solid.

"Arild does everything in the year with them – we just get them to foal and prep for the sales. He does a great job and it is great farm. Until two years ago he only had two mares – the other mare bred Grandeur!

As for the next stage in the plans, Grassick added: "Arild has not made a decision yet on Lucky Clio's next covering - he is waiting to see how he did at the sales first!" (13:56)

She was bred by Hunscote Stud and Humber Bloodstock. The farm's manager Andy Lloyd was understandably delighted with the sale, but also had mixed emotions.

"I am happy and sad, she is the most spectacular horse we have had, she is an absolute darling, the best foal we have had through our hands," said Lloyd. "I am very sad to see her go, but it is a lot of money and you have to be commercial. She was bred with Chris Humber and he is marooned in Guernsey and Steve Smith [owner of Hunscote] is marooned in France. Unfortunately, neither were here to see the sale, but both will be happy and will have been watching online."

Lloyd explained the decision to send Archange Gabriel to Saxon Warrior.

"We always fancied Saxon Warrior as a racehorse. He won the Racing Post Trophy about an hour after we had a runner at Doncaster, it was terrible ground that day. Ryan [Moore} rode for us and rode Saxon Warrior and he said Saxon Warrior would go through any ground. We always followed him since then, he won a strong Guineas, think he is a real good stamp of a stallion.

"He and Roaring Lion had some great battles and I think he is a lovely horse and I think he stands a really good chance."

This was the first horse consigned by Hunscote with Norris Bloodstock, a decision made on part-breeder Chris Humber's advice.

"Jenny has done an excellent job, she is a pleasure to deal with, and the girls are great," said Lloyd.

Jenny Norris said: "I just want to say thank you very much to the breeders for sending her to us. All credit to them and Hunscote Stud. She is an absolute professional. She was with us for about four weeks, an absolute pro from the word go.

Purchaser Stauffenberg added:"She is a gorgeous filly, physically she is a standout. I am really happy to have bought her, and as a filly she has plenty of value. Her page is strong."

The unraced Archange Gabriel (Arch) is a full-sister to the Grade 1 winner Prince Arch and a half-sister to the Group 1 winner Kingsfort (War Chant). Her two runners so far are both winners and are both rated over 80. (13:27)

From Whitsbury Manor Stud, the filly is the third foal out of the St Hugh's Stakes placed Thatsallimsaying (Dandy Man). Her first foal of Lauded (Acclamation), the winner of one race in 2020 and third in the Richmond Stakes (G2).

She is the most-expensive filly sold at Tattersalls by the sire so far. The stallion's leading southern-hemisphere performer is a filly – Sunlight, who is out of the Charge Forward mare Solar Charged, is an 11-time winner, three-time Group 1 winner and a champion three-year-old filly in Australia in 2018-19. Marnane said: "He is a cracking colt, really deep, good moving, and full of quality. He is out of a three-parts sister to Muhaarar, who was an exceptional racehorse. We bought the mare and she comes from a whole Shadwell back pedigree. We'd like to wish Angus and Sheikh Hamdan the very best of luck, he is a lovely lovely horse."

The unraced mare Safeenah (Oasis Dream) was bought by Con Marnane in 2018.

Marnane added: "He is just class and hopefully he matures into a serious racehorse. The pedigree suggests he will, he has the physique and the mentality and the quality to do so. The mare is in-foal to Soldier's Call. We are not sure where we are going to send next spring her yet."

Lot 791, by Dandy Man and from the same draft and made 65,000gns.

"He is a brother to Forever In Dreams. We have had great luck with the mare and she is a half-sister to the champion sprinter in Marchand D'Or. This colt is full of quality, a later type of foal. Cill Dara Bloodstock has bought him and he will be for resale next October," said Marnane. (11:24)

The April foal is a half-brother to Youth Spirit (Camelot), who was a Vintage Stakes (G2) third this summer and is and the only runner for the dam so far. She is a half-sister to the talented trio – Blaine (Group 2 winner), Bogart (Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy winner) and Legal Attack, who finished second in the Prix Eclipse (G3).

The mare was covered by Churchill in the spring. (11:03)

The Dansili mare is dam of the US black-type runner Force It and is daughter of Nebraska Tornado, winner of the Prix de Diane (G1) and the Prix du Moulin (G1).

There are five lots by the Lanwades sire left in the sale, four fillies and one colt. Sea The Moon's current average is 46,857gns from a covering fee of £15,000. (10:58)

The colt also has a commercial female side to his pedigree, too – he is out of the Medaglia D'Oro mare Country Madam, dam of a winner from one runner. She is a half-sister to the Duke Of York Stakes (G2) and three-time Group 3 winner Invincible Army, who stands at Yeomanstown Stud. He is heading into his second season at stud at a fee of €7,500.

The colt was bought by pinhookers Barry Mahon and Michael Fitzpatrick of JC Bloodstock, bred by Aoife Kent and sold by Mickley Stud. (10:35)

Oneliner's Gerard Lowry said: "Sir Dragonet [by Camelot] won the Cox Plate (G1) and he out of an Oasis Dream mare – Oasis Dream is a champion broodmare sire and the cross works. This foal comes from an outstanding Juddmonte family, that of Dancing Brave, he ticked a lot of boxes and was pretty obvious, really. He is a good individual as well, so it makes a lot of sense. Also there is the Australian factor coming into Book 1 now, and Camelot is a worldwide stallion."

Delta Dreamer was bought at the 2017 Tattersalls February Sale by Glenville Bloodstock for 40,000gns. She has had one previous foal - the unraced 2018 foal called Delta Romeo by Make Believe. She was covered by Churchill this spring. (19:37)

The mare is dam of Ventura Knight (Casamento), the winner of seven race, placed 14 times and rated 104. The mare has bred three winners from five runners – her two-year-old Discomatic (Estidhkaar) has placed twice this year since the catalogue was published for trainer Andrew Balding. (19:30)

Ed Harper of Whitsbury was quite emotional after the sale.

"It is amazing, somebody from Japan wants to buy stock from the new stallion we stand! It is amazing," he said. "I loved the foal, I have just stared at him ever since he was born. It is fantastic, there is a slight tinge of sadness that I am not going to watch him race here, but I can't complain at the price.

"These Havana Greys have gone so well, it is just fantastic. Good Vibes [Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes winner] was great for the mare, and Orange Blossom was also very good as well, although she did not get black-type.

"But people have really appreciated these Havana Greys, everybody has come to look a them, which is a test in itself, everybody has opened the doors to see them. They are going to good homes as well, so I am really really pleased. But I never thought he'd make that. I thought there might be an outside chance of making six figures on a good day, I never thought it would get that."

Harper added: "I knew a lot of the really good judges were on him, regular clients of mine, whose support I really appreciate. I try and build up a good relationship with the pinhookers – I just did not think they wouldn't be getting him. I am thrilled, thank you to Harry Sweeney." (19:26)

"I have seen a lot of Zoustars, they are quite smart. This is a fine big colt – he and the Bewitchment colt were the best two for us. We tried to buy the Bewitchment, and did not get him, but fortunately got this one. he is from a fast family and he is tremendous walker. We will bring him back next year," said David O'Callaghan of Yeomanstown. (19:03)

"He is a Sea the Stars colt out of a Dubawi mare, he has it on both sides and he comes from an outstanding family - two champion horses in the second dam. He has great movement, he is a lovely individual. He was our pick of the day so we are delighted to get him," explained Lowry, who was on the sale ground, but wanted to make use of the online bidding technology.

"All going well and with a bit of luck he will come back to Book 1 next year and he will do us proud. We have had luck before with Sea The Stars so it is going back to the well! It is big plus, too, that he has come out of Newsells – the farm is such a noted breeder and consignor. He has come off a great farm, and they have done a fantastic job with him."

Sea The Stars has been lucky for Oneliner before – in 2019 the family pinhooking business sold a colt by the sire out of Emreliya to Godolphin for 725,000gns. Lowry explained that when a pinhooker has had luck with a sire how much more likely he or she is to head back to buy one by the same stallion again.

"You understanding the stallion's stock and what his record is on the racecourse. You are watching the stock and know what they have coming up. It is a massive help and, if the stallion has been lucky for you, it is hard to go away from it. It was a big factor with this, the second big factor was being out of a Dubawi mare, and with a grand-dam by Barathea so you are getting Sadler's Wells over Urban Sea. It stacked up on a lot of fronts."

Of the reasons for bidding online from outside of the ring, Lowry explained: "It was an interesting tool to use, it was nice to try it out and it was successful."

Consignor Julian Dollar said: "The colt was bred by Mr Graham Smith-Bernal. He bought the mare with Jill Lamb a couple of years ago from Kiltinan. She had a very nice Frankel who sold well. Sadly, she then had a beautiful Kingman who died as a foal. This is a nice Sea The Stars, she is nice mare she has done him well. She is in-foal to New Approach.

"Mr Smith Brunel is a very nice man, he is new to the industry. He will race a few, and is wanting to do breed as well and has a few mares boarding with us."

Newsells has two more Sea The Stars foals to sell tomorrow, and Dollar explained: "He was very busy and very popular. We have two more colts tomorrow and I did not want to have three Sea The Stars colts going through one after the other. We have always done well on Thursday night."

La Mortola is by Dubawi and is a half-sister to the Group 1 winner and multiple Group winner Jakkalberry, Crackerjack King and Awel Marduk, both a Group 1 winners in Italy, Kidnapping and Joyful Hope, both Listed winners in Italy. (18:45)

The mare Panmolle (Lawman), who hails from the Juddmonte family of Zenda, Kingman, Wemyss Bight and Oasis Dream, was bought here last December by Highflyer for 200,000gns carrying this first pregnancy.

"The last one I bought from the Mill House draft cost me just 10,000gns," recalled Stauffenberg. "She was by Cable Bay, she won in England and has been stakes placed in Germany. She is called Belle Anglaise and has now joined my broodmare band. I laughed with Mill House that it would be nice to do the same again!"

So although this filly cost the buyer a whole lot more, we might see this daughter of Frankel here in October 2021 – or we might see her on a racecourse running in the Stauffenberg colours somewhere in England or Europe. (17:58)

The February colt is out of Music And Dancer (Galileo), a half-sister to the Group 3 winner Bowerman. (17:55)

"David has seen all the foals at the farm and particularly loved those two," reported Redvers. "They will race in his colours. David is very enthusiastic, and got into racing two years ago. He also bought a number of yearlings in the autumn."

Lot 691 is the Zoustar and is out of Bewitchment, who was bought by Tweenhills at the December Sale in 2018 for 150,000gns from Fittocks. She has had one winner from one runner and is a daughter of Hypnotise, and is a Pivotal half-sister to the champion two-year-old filly Hooray and the Listed winner Hypnotic.

Lot 694 is by Roaring Lion and is out of the four-time winner Roedean (Oratorio). She is the dam of one winner from two runners and is a half-sister to Maureen, winner of the Fred Darling Stakes (G2). Roedean was also bought by Tweenhills here in 2018, costing 125,000gns (17:43)

"He is a lovely colt. We same him three days ago and liked him," said Frannie Woods of Abbeylands. "I have a huge amount of time for the sire. Hopefully, his two-year-old half-brother George Bancroft, who is with Roger Varian and is by Australia, will win next year. We did pay a little more than we were planning!"

The colt is out of the Cacique mare Extensive, a half-sister to Posteritas, the dam of Mutual Trust, winner of the Prix Jean Prat (G1), as well as a further three black-type placed horses. The third dam All At Sea was a two-time Group 1 winner and two-time Group 1 placed.

The foal was sold by New England Stud for the Gredley family's Stetchworth & Middle Park Studs. The combination also sold Lot 658, a colt by Night Of Thunder, for 95,000gns to Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock.

Sea The Moon has stood his six seasons at stud so far for £15,000. This summer he broke his progeny Group 1 duck when his daughter Alpine Star won the Coronation Stakes (G1) at Royal Ascot. In total, he is now the sire of 25 stakes performers, six Group winners and five Listed winners.

In response the son Sea The Stars has been given his first career price rise and will stand at £22,500 next spring. (16:23)

Sold by Colin Kennedy's Meadowlands Stud, she is a half-sister to Djumana, a champion two-year-old filly in Germany and dam of three black-type performers. Western Sky is an own-sister to Barathea Guest, a Group 3 winner and Group 1 placed, including when third in the 2,000 Guineas.

Meadowlands is a regular consignor at the foal sale and in 2017 sold a colt by the same sire to Sun Bloodstock for 210,000gns (15:44)

"Another great foal from Max's farm in County Down, he only has five or six mares," said Harte. "This is a cracking Kodiac, and he was bought by the right men who support the stallion well. We had a lot of interest in him from all the top buyers."

Ervine generally sells his stock as yearlings, and Harte explained the thinking behind this foal's appearance here today.

"Max will put the odd foal through - it depends what way the year goes," said Harte. "He had a good yearling sale, but no one knew what way the yearling sales were going to go, so he entered the foal here. He then said, 'Why don't we just go and see how we get on?' It has paid off! This is a very nice foal – we are lucky to have him as a client."

The colt is out of the unraced mare Fine If (Iffraaj), dam of this year's two-year-old Illegal Smile (Camacho), who has a US Listed runner-up result to her name.

Fine If is a half-sister to the Mill Reef Stakes (G2) winner Galeota, the Listed winner Loulwa and Lady Livius, dam of the Group 3 winners Burnt Sugar and Brown Sugar. (15:04)

He was bought by pinhooker Tim Hyde of Camas Park Stud who said: "Saxon Warrior was a hell of a racehorse, he was one of the best racehorse for many many years. This colt is a lovely individual and will be come back for resale next year."

The colt was sold by Highclere Stud, and Lady Carolyn Warren said: "I am absolutely delighted for breeder Leonidas and Marina Marinopoulos with their partners. What a wonderful example of how lovely Saxon Warrior's stock are. He is a real credit to his sire, he is a gorgeous horse with a great temperament, he was very popular in the yard, I am delighted for everybody."

She continued: "He came to us to prep, we do a lot with the Leonidas and Marina – our mares stay with them when they are over for French stallions and we sell yearlings for them too. They are tremendous breeders, they been in the game for a very long time, they are lovely people."

The foal is out of Aktoria (Canford Cliffs), who won the Prix Six Perfections (L). Her 2018 foal – her first – made €200,000 at the 2019 yearling sales. She has a 2019 filly by Oasis Dream and was covered by Gleneagles this spring. (14:51)

He is a half-brother to four winners, including Harlequeen, who finished third in both the Irish Oaks (G1) and the Epsom Oaks (G1). The colt's dam Aurelia is a half-sister to the dam of Northern Dancer Turf Stakes (G1) winner Forte Dei Marmi.

This autumn the sire's 31 Tattersalls-sold yearlings achieved an average price of 35,984gns and a top price of 150,000gns. The fee for the son of Dubawi has been £8,500 throughout his three years at stud so far, and that price has been held for 2021.

Two further lots by Time Test are due to be sold tomorrow with another three on Saturday (13:29)

"He has been bought by an end user and he will most likely go to France because the family has done well there," said Sackville. "I thought he was a lovely moving individual. I have always rather liked Dragon Pulse – he gets his winners, I have been lucky with him and they run.

"It has been great story of Tiger Tanaka – she's a Group 1 winner and you don't get better than that!"

The colt was bred and sold by the County Kikenny-based Kellsgrange Stud, and is just the second foal out of the mare Miss Phillyjinks (Zoffany). She was bought by Bedrock Bloodstock for just €3,500 in 2017 carrying the Group 1-winning filly. She was covered by Mehmas last spring.

This colt's sale has completely cleared all Kellsgrange's investment in the mare so far – and left some over too!

""A great result, for a mare that was bought for €3,500!" smiled Dermot Dwan, manager of Kellsgrange. "Great produce, both foals are very athletic. Tiger Tanaks was one of our nicest yearlings.

"With everything we couldn't get to France but watching the the TV at home was good fun at home in our family," recalled Dwan. "The mare's in-foal to the right stallion in Mehmas!" (12:04)

He was bred by Whitwell and is the first foal out of the Lawman mare Faughill. She is daughter of the Montjeu mare Diamond Sky, who finished third in the Debutante Stakes (G2). She is an own-sister to Berling, a stakes winner in Scandinavia, and a half-sister to Belardo (Lope De Vega). He was a champion two-year-old colt in 2014 after success in the Dewhurst Stakes (G1), while as an older horse, he won the Lockinge Stakes (G1).

Faughill was purchased at last year's December Sale by Hilborough Stud for 78,000gns – the mare has just about paid for her purchase price with her first foal. She was covered this spring by Advertise. (11:15)

Stephen Hillen purchased this Bearstone Stud-bred colt – he is out of the Indesatchel mare Bold Bidder. She is the dam of five winners, including this season's flagbearer Lullaby Moon (Belardo) – she has run six times, won four races, and rounded her year off with a Group 3 victory in the Prix Miesque.

"Lullaby Moon has only been beaten twice in six starts, and won the Redcar Two-Year-old Trophy and the Group 3 in France," said Hillen. "She looks progressive. This is a nice colt."

It is a real long-term Bearstone Sud family – third dam Aryaf produced the seven-time-winning speedster and Bearstone stallion Mind Games. (11:04)

He was sold by Mickley Stud on behalf of breeder David Botterill. The colt boasts five winning siblings, including the Listed-winning and Group 2 placed Major Jumbo. In total, the son of Zebedee won seven races and was placed 21 times.

The mare Gone Sailing (Mizzen Mast) has a 2020 yearling by Brazen Beau and she was covered by Bated Breath. (10:45)

The colt's dam Silca Chiave (Pivotal) won one race and was placed five times, including when second in the Moyglare Stud Stakes (G1) and third in the Cheveley Park Stakes (G1). She has bred four winners from six runners, her daughter Strictly Silca, rated 88, finished second in the Winkfield Stakes (L). Second dam Silca-Cisa was Listed placed and rated 99 is dam of the Group 1 winner Silca's Sister and Golden Silca, a champion two-year-old in Germany and champion older horse in Ireland. Golden Silca was also a winner of numerous Group 2 and Group 3 races and placed in Group 1s, including the Coronation Stakes and the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

"He is a nice horse, at the end of the day he is by a proven stallion and he is out of Royal Applause mare so that is speed,"said Flash Conroy. "We keep him there for the year and we will bring him back hopefully in October for Book 2."

The colt was bred by Lady Hardy, her mare Triple Star the dam of one winner from one runner. (16:40)

He was bought by Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock and Ross said: "He is a good-looking horse out of a Shamardal mare and by a top stallion. He is for Pier House Stud and the plan will be to come back to the October Sale next year".

Mrs James Wigan is listed as the breeder and Soryah, the mare by Shamardal, won twice at three and is the dam of one winner from two runners.

The Morrin brothers of Pier House and the father-son Doyle team enjoyed two good touches with yearlings sold at the 2020 October Book 2 Sale with December Foal Sale pinhook purchases.

A Night Of Thunder colt out of Surprise bought as a foal by the Doyles for 52,000gns at the December Sale 2019 sold as a yearling for 250,000gns, purchased by Shadwell (Lot 1271), while a Shalaa colt, also sold in Book 2, fetched the same amount purchased by SackvilleDonald (Lot 915). The Doyles paid 90,000gns for the colt as a foal. (16:30)

She is out of the unraced Posh Claret (Royal Applause). She is a half-sister to the Pavilion Stakes (G2) runner-up Dream Dubai (Kyllachy) and from the Usk Valley Stud family of the Group 2, the Group 1-placed Trans Island and the Group 3 winner Welsh Diva.

"She is a beautiful filly, a good strong filly, a good mover," said Paul McCartan of Ballyphilip. "I have not had many foals by the sire, but I have mare by him and she is the dam of Imperial Force, who was third in the Norfolk Stakes. He is a good sire and he gets a good filly."

The filly was sold by Barton Stud on behalf of breeder Grasshopper Bloodstock.

The two preceding lots from Barton Stud both sell for 29,000gns – Lot 400, by Havana Grey and out of Masonbrook Lady, is bought by Blandford Bloodstock, while The Blind Leading The Blind Syndicate buys Lot 401, a SeaThe Moon colt out of Laughing Dove (Tamayuz).

It means that Barton is currently the leading consignor by aggregate and by average for three or more lots sold – it has sold six so far from its week-long draft of 18 lots. (15:05)

The colt is out of Belatorio (Oratorio). She is the dam of three winners, including the 2020 winner Baadirr, BHA rated 82, and is a half-sister to Group 2 winner Sword Fighter, the Listed winner Big Audio and the Group 2 placed Precious Moments.

It is the further family of Gilt Edge Girl, the Prix de l'Abbaye (G1) winner.

Havana Grey won the Molecomb Stakes (G3), finished second in the Prix Morny (G1) and the Flying Childers (G2). At three he won the Sapphire Stakes (G2) and the Flying Five (G1). (14:35)

"This is a quality, attractive foal," said Fitzpatrick. "He is from a good breeder, and is a half-brother, one of the few in today, to two stakes horses. He has a nice back pedigree, too and will be back for resale."

Of Expert Eye, Fitzpatrick added: "I have seen a few, they are nice horses, he is stamping them."

The colt was bred and sold by Dukes Stud and the farm's Charlie Wyatt was delighted with the sale.

"He has been a lovely foal throughout. I think he is good representative for the sire, I have seen a few of them, they look nice sorts," said Wyatt.

Historically, Wyatt has offered his draft through the Saturday session, but took a change of direction this year.

"I felt it was time to mix it up a little bit. Saturday has always good to me, we have had a lot of fun on Saturdays, but with the pandemic I felt it was the year for a change," he explained.

The two stakes-winning brothers to this colt both won overseas – Cay Dancer (Danehill Dancer) won the Bewitch Stakes (G3) at Keeneland, while Dynamic (Teofilo) won the Grand Prix de Fontainebleu (L). Under the second dam is the Coronation Stakes (G1) winner Balisada, while the third dam is On Show. She was dam of the champion three-year-old filly Inchmurrin, the dam of Inchinor, and the ancestress of the E P Taylor Stakes winner Miss Keller. (14:01)

Burn The Breeze boasts winning black-type having won the Prix de la Pepiniere (L). She also finished third in the Prix de Pomone (G2). She was rated 111. (13:12)

The colt is a first foal out of Miss Fay (Sayif) and she is a half-sister to Queen Of The Sand (Footstepsinthesand), winner of the Santa Barbara Handicap (G3) and runner-up in the Matriarch Stakes (G1), and to the Listed placed Rydan It is the further family of Bachelor Duke, winner of the Irish 2,000 Guineas.

Unfortunately is a son of the late Society Rock. He was a champion two-year-old in France after winning the Prix Morny (G1). At three he won the 6f Group 3 Renaissance Stakes on his last career start.

He is out of the Komaite mare Unfortunate and is a half-brother to Look Busy. She won a Group 2 and Group 3 over 5f and is dam of Keep Busy (Night Of Thunder), a Listed winner and runner-up to Glass Slippers in the Flying Five Stakes (G1) at The Curragh in September.

Unfortunately is due to stand at €4,500 in 2021. (12:40)

Bred and sold by Bearstone Stud, the pedigree has, of course, enjoyed this month's amazing Breeders' Cup (G1) update by the daughter of Dream Ahead.

She Mystifies, also a half-sister to Electric Feel (Firebreak), winner of the Listed Radley Stakes and second in the Oh So Sharp Stakes (G3), and to the Listed-placed Aunt Nicola (Reel Buddy), is the dam of three winners from four runners.

Tasleet was a 6f Listed winner and 7f Group 3 third as a juvenile. As an older horse he won the Greenham Stakes (G3) and the Duke Of York Stakes (G2). He finished second in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes (G1), the Sprint Stakes (G1) and the British Champions Sprint (G1).

The stallion, who stands at Shadwell's Nunnery Stud, is out of Bird Key, a once-raced half-sister to the juvenile Group 2 winner Etlaala and to dam of the brilliant 5f Group 1 winner Battaash. (11:54)
