Lot 374:
Tawaareq will be getting on the flight to Bahrain, the son of Shamardal bought by trainer Fawzi Nass with Oliver St Lawrence for 180,000gns.
"I think he will handle the firm Turf ground, there will be plenty of races for him now. He is rated 90 so there are plenty of options within the international series. He is a nice horse, we vetted clean so we are pleased," said Nass.
He has run eight times, won twice and is rated 90. His last win came in a Class 4 handicap on August 14 over 1m2f at Newbury.
(16:15)
Lot 366:
Pretreville is sold by Jamie Railton to Stuart Boman of Blandford Bloodstock for 95,000gns.
"I love buying these older horses!" said Boman. "It is pretty simple, he is the highest-rated horse here. He has been a highly performed horse throughout, first time out this year he ran to a mark of 116 and beat home a Group 1 winner.
"He is a lovely horse to look at, vetted very clean for a six-year-old. He was originally trained by Jean Claude Rouget, and has been handled beautifully by Pascal Bary and seems to have plenty of miles on the clock. Older horses have served me very well over the years, and he is a top class horse.
"He is not going to Australia, but is going abroad and will be targeted at international options."
(16:10)
Lot 365:
Crossing The Bar will have a set of hurdles in front of him in the future, having been bought by Highflyer Bloodstock for NH trainer Philip Hobbs.
"He has been bought on spec," said Anthony Bromley. "This is a lovely big scopey horse, 16.2hh, loves soft ground, won well on soft ground at Carlisle at the end of May over 1m6f, looks like he wants further, I think he is a horse for the winter game. He hasn't got a lot of mileage on the clock, and he vetted well. Philip said if I saw one that I liked he'd have one for the shop window."
By Poet's Voice, he is out of the Tiger Hill mare Ship's Biscuit, dam of the Henry II Stakes (G3) winner Mekong.
(16:03)
Lot 345:
"He is for Jamie Osborne," said Oliver St Lawrence after going to 55,000gns for Peerless (Kodiac) from the Ed Walker Racing draft.
"He has been bought with the new Bahrain Turf series in mind, and Jamie is putting a plan together for some runners. He knows the horse from seeing him on the Lambourn gallops with Ed Walker."
Osborne also has another reason to know the horse's form well – daughter Saffie has ridden the three-year-old son of Kodiac in his last three starts, winning on him once and finishing second twice, including last time out on August 2 and once when nearly wiping off on the stalls!
Since June the horse has gone up in the handicap from 75 to 85.
He runs mainly over 5f, has run 12 times, won three races, finished second four times and won £26,772 in prize-money. He was bought as yearling at the 2019 Tattersalls September Yearling Sale for €36,000 by SackvilleDonald/Ed Walker.
(15:25)
Lot 336:
"She is a new broodmare for the wife," smiled Peter Doyle of Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock after spending 57,000gns on Mahaasel, another popular lot from the Shadwell draft being a half-sister to Ventura Mist, winner of the Redcar Two Year Old Trophy and third in the Firth of Clyde Stakes (G3).
"She is a lovely filly, very attractive filly. She will make a nice broodmare. Her sire had a top two-year-old here last week [Manaccan]. We have not thought about stallions for her yet, we have plenty of time for that. We will send her home and hope for the best."
(15:17)
Lot 333:
Mobaadel, by Speightstown and out of Maggy's Melody, a half-sister to the 2005 US champion three-year-old colt Afleet Alex and to the Grade 2 winner Unforgettable Max, sells for 50,000gns.
He was purchased by HE Sultan Aldeen MS Al-Khalifa, with trainer Ali Majeed, standing down the stairs, in charge of bidding.
"He will go to Bahrain," said Majeed. "If he improves he may go on to Australia next year. The Sultan does not have horses in Australia at the moment, but he might buy some yearlings and get a string together. Mobaadel is a US-bred horse and should suit the good to firm ground in Bahrain and Australia."
(14:59)
Lot 330:
Afkaar from the Shadwell draft is bought by Meah / Lloyd Bloodstock / Mark Loughnane for 34,000gns.
The colt, the winner of one race in France, has a fine pedigree being a full-brother to the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1) winner Bobby's Kitten, to the Grade 2 winner Camelot Kitten and the stakes performer Major Magic.
(14:51)
Lot 327:
Fighter Pilot, a three-year-old colt by Kodiac, out of the Listed winner Jira (Medicean) and sold by The Castlebridge Consignment, is bought by Oliver St Lawrence for 40,000gns.
The gelding is rated 78 having reached a career-high mark of 82 in May. He has won two races – his maiden last December and a handicap at Nottingham on his first start this year in April. He has been in training with Kevin Ryan and owned by Clipper Logistics.
He is a great grandson of Time Charter, a champion older mare in England in 1983 and a four-time Group 1 winner.
(14:24)
Lot 305:
Sir William Bruce, a 2018 colt by Galileo, makes 90,000gns. He was sold by Ballydoyle Stables on behalf of Mrs John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith.
Bred by Coolmore, he is out of the Danehill Listed-winning mare Chanting and is a full-brother to the Listed-winning filly Easter Lily and the Listed-placed filly Circling. His second dam Golden Reef was a Grade 2 winner in the US and runner-up in the Spinaway Stakes (G1).
The successful purchaser was Stuart Boman of Blandford Bloodstock, and the underbidder was Hubie De Burgh.
"He is a first purchase up here for Grant Morgan of Ontrack Thoroughbreds," explained Boman. "He raced Brazen Beau; that is his main connection up here in Europe. He brings tours up here with Ontrack every year, he brought a tour up the last time Australians could travel and got his ownership group interested in buying European horses. It’s been a project we’ve been working on for the last six months.
"This horse be going to Queensland to be trained by Tony Gollan, who is the leading trainer in Queensland. New South Wales and Victoria have been the real focal points for the European horses, but there are good opportunities for European horses throughout."
Boman added: "He’s a gorgeous horse, a son of Galileo out of a Danehill mare, lightly-raced. He hasn’t run since Ascot which was an issue but he vetted very cleanly. He’s Timeform rated 95 and I thought he was particularly decent value."
(13:43)
Lot 284:
Alex Elliott, buying for the US-based Slam Dunk Racing, goes to 60,000gns for the Speightstown colt Moraweth from Shadwell.
"He is for California, Slam Dunk Racing has had numerous stakes horses this year – Ginobili won the Grade 2 Pat O'Brien Stakes at Del Mar last weekend, and they also had the Grade 1 sprinter Drain The Clock," reported Elliott. "This horse will have a lot of his conditions in California and I think he is an out-and-out Dirt horse – to look at and on pedigree. He won last time on the Polytrack and Jim Crowley jumped off the horse and said he loved the surface. I think he is going to improve even more on Dirt.
"I was in the US when Tapizar, who the dam is a full-sister to, was on the Derby trail and he loved California. I really think this horse is going to move up, but, even if he doesn't take to the Dirt, he should be competitive on the Turf because he has shown good enough form. He will get a bit of time now, and expect to see him in the New Year at Santa Anita."
Elliott added: "I have bought for Nick [Cosato] of Slam Dunk for a good few years, and we have bought a good few stakes horses together. Nick is a shrewd operator and his partnership Slam Dunk is really on the up. It is good to get this one for him."
Moraweth won a handicap at Lingfield on August 25 off a mark of 74. He has since been raised by the handicapper to a mark of 78.
(13:17)
Lot 276:
Mascat has been bought by Tom Malone on behalf of owner Syd Hosie's Sherborne Utilities Ltd and with a jumping career in mind, a trainer has not yet been decided.
"He is a smashing horse and was well-recommended by his previous trainer Ralph Beckett," said Malone after going to 35,000gns to secure the chestnut gelding.
By Zoffany, the four-year-old gelding has run 15 times, won once, finished second or third seven times, picked up prize-money earnings of £22,369 and had a career high BHA rating of 90 last autumn. His consistent performances mean that he is still on a mark of 85.
He is a half-bother to William Of Orange (Duke Of Marmalade), the winner of a NHF race, five races over hurdles and four times over fences.
(12:58)
Lot 270:
Shalanez (Shalaa) is bought by Mark McStay of Avenue Bloodstock for 47,000gns. She has been placed twice and is a half-sister to the Group 3 winner and the multiple Group 1-placed Siyouni mare Spectre
"I bought the Galileo colt out of Spectre last year – he is at Hugo Palmer's," said McStay. "She is in-foal to Dubawi and has a Frankel foal. I Siyou Baby [out of a half-sister Stacey Sutton] looks like she will get black-type as well, so it is a real exciting pedigree.
"She is a very good physical. She has been bought to bred from and leave it to my client to decide what he is going to do with her. "
(12:49)
Lot 258:
Ladywood, by Dark Angel, sells for 34,000gns. She was sold as part of the Kingsley Park, and is the winner of three races at two and three.
She was bred by Round Hill Stud out of the Group 3 Dahlia Stakes winner Beneventa (Most Welcome), dam of the Group 2 Solonaway Stakes and Celebration Mile (G2) winner Bow Creek (Shamardal), who was also a Group 2 winner in Australia.
She was bought by Conrad Allen.
(11:59)
Lot 254:
at last year's Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale, Martin Wanless and trainer David Evans spent 20,000gns on Rohaan. The son of Mayson proved to be one of the buys of last year – he went on to win seven races, including Royal Ascot's Wokingham Handicap with his rating improving from a lowly 55 to 116.
Wanless and Evans will be hoping lightning strikes twice – the pair spending 7,000gns on this Havana Gold filly Fidha. She was sold by Shadwell, is unraced and is the first foal out of the Shamardal mare Shafafya. She is a half-sister to the Group 1 winner Matterhorn, the Group 2 winner Bangkok, the Group 3 winner Tactic, the Listed winner Yaazy and to the dam of the two-time champion miler Ribchester.
(11:40)
Lot 241:
Peak Perfect, a two-year-old colt by Anodin and consigned by Ed Walker Racing for Ahmad Alshaikh, is bought by Saudi-based owner Abdullah Al Khashan. Jason Singh acted on behalf of the buyer and took instructions over the phone.
The colt has run just twice and has finished third on both occasions – over 7f100yds and a mile.
Bred by Nafferty Stud and the first foal out of Peak Spirit (Invincible Spirit), Peak Perfect was bought as a foal by John Troy for 8,000gns at the Tattersalls December Sale in 2019.

Well done Freddie!
(17:02)
Lot 211:
British breeder Robert Bailey has most of Eastern Delight's family at his farm in Chepstow, and he completed the family package with the purchase of the Camacho filly today for 50,000gns.
"There is one mare in India and one mare in Australia, but we have many of the pedigree's breeding mares at home, and they are all 'Glamorous,'" said Bailey, whose stud is New Hall Farm, near to Chepstow and who bid via the telephone today, Jason Singh taking instructions.
"There was no need for me to come up to Newmarket as she was the one I wanted – we have done all the checks we needed. She will go into training for a couple of years with Chris Mason and we will try and improve her form and then she will come back to the farm."
The only thing that might be left to do is a name change from Eastern Delight to something more Glamorous.
"I don't believe that it is an unlucky thing to do, the horse doesn't know it," laughed Bailey, adding: "It is good for marketing."
(17:00)
Lot 197:
bred and raced by The Queen and trained for Her Majesty by Roger Charlton, Encourage is leaving these shores having been bought by Bahrain's HE Sultan Aldeen MS Al-Khalifa.
The three-year-old gelding by Iffraaj is out of a Cape Cross daughter of the Listed winner Fairy Godmother, dam of the Group 1 winner Kingdom Of Fife and from the family of Group 2 winner Blueprint and Group 1 winner Ask.
The gelding has won over 1m2f and run over 1m4f, and has been bought for the new valuable Bahrain Turf series that has been introduced for this year's Bahrain racing season.
"He is a little under the handicap mark, but we think he will go well in Bahrain and hopefully he will improve," said the horse's new trainer Ali Majeed. "He is for Sheikh Sultan and we are looking forward to running him. Sometimes we buy a nice horse and sometimes that don't! We hope this will be a nice horse!"
(16:54)
Lot 180:
the stallion Vadamos, who was transferred from the Tally-Ho Stud Flat stallion roster to Coolmore's Grange Stud NH division, is already proving that to have been a shrewd decision – the son of Monsun has had just a handful of NH runners so far in Britain, Ireland and France, but has had a winner already in Ireland as well as one in France.
Dirham Emirati, a three-year-old son of the stallion, is a winner over 1m4f for David Simcock and is rated 78, and has been bought to join the jumping ranks by NH trainer Phil Middleton.
However, the the busy British roads nearly scuppered Middleton's plan today. With things traffic heavy the Buckinghamshire-based trainer realised that time was going to be tight to get to Newmarket in time to see the horse so Middleton rang friend Mick Sheridan to be on call to step in. When things had not improved on the highways, Sheridan took over the bidding process.
Sheridan, on the telephone, carried out his job to perfection and bought the horse for 62,000gns seeing off agent Hamish Macauley in the process.
"Phil has been very keen on this horse for a while, he has watched all his runs," said Sheridan. "Phil's got a keen eye for a jumper and that is the plan – but he will the horse a bit of time off first. He should go with a bit of cut in the ground. I am very good friends with Phil, we were involved in Arab racing together. He rang me when he got stuck in the traffic two hours ago, and then rang me an hour later when he had not moved!"
(16:35)
Lot 169:
the sire Bungle Inthejungle got his first Group 1 winner this month with Winter Power's Nunthorpe Stakes success, and that racecourse result was backed up in the sale ring when his two-year-old son Bunglejungleparty was sold for 125,000gns.
He was consigned today by Jamie Railton Bloodstock on behalf of owner Theresa Marnane and bought by Will Douglass. Conrad Allen, standing at the top of the stairs, was underbidder.
The colt has run four times in France and finished third last time out in a 7f Listed race at Vichy.
"I have had luck buying from these connections at last year's sale with Pom Malpic," said Douglass. "This is just a very nice horse with form. He goes to Qatar."
"The Marnanes are such enthusiasts, I am so pleased for them," said Railton. "We are so appreciative of our Qatari bidders. He was a pretty obvious horse and he had an avenue to the US as well as he is a non-winner. We are so appreciative of all these people coming to Tattersalls to buy horses. This sale suits every single jurisdiction in the world to buy horses so we must strive to support it."
Marnane, who bought the colt as a yearling for just €12,000, was all smiles after the sale and said: "I am over the moon. He is a very good-looking horse, big and strong, everybody wanted him today. He had clean X-rays and a very good scope, and there were three people on him over 100,000gns."
Of the decision to sell rather than keep and race him on to Group level, Marnane, who buys yearlings every autumn to breeze or race, said: "We rolled the dice here! He was entered in a Group 3 in Germany this weekend, but the yearling sales are coming up.
"We sold Will a very good horse last year, who has been stakes placed in Qatar; he knows where to get the good ones from!" laughed Marnane, adding: "This date works in the calendar, the sale companies are doing a great job to get these horse sold and we are looking forward to the yearling sale next week."
(16:04)
Lot 152:
Jalmoud, by New Approach and out of the Epsom Oaks winner Dancing Rain, sells for 20,000gns.
Sold by Godolphin, the five-year-old gelding is rated 103. His career-best performance so far is when a 5l third to Japan in the Grand Prix de Paris (G1) in 2019 having previously finished second to Headman in the Prix Eugene Adam (G2).
(15:00)
Lot 118:
owner Ian Buckley and trainer Lawrence Mullaney go to 38,000gns for Fire Eyes, a three-year-old daughter of Toronado. She is rated 74, and is qualified for French Owners' Premiums.
She is a winner since the catalogue was published, winning a 1m4f Auction Stakes at Kempton. Her half-brother Super Khali has placed twice at as a two-year-old this year, including last time out at the month at Deauville.
(14:21)
Lot 110:
Greystoke, a three-year-old colt by Sixities Icon, is bought by Highflyer Bloodstock and trainer Alan King for 45,000gns.
Formerly trained by Mick Channon for Dave and Gill Hedley, who is Channon's finance director, the colt is a winner of two races, and has finished second or third on three occasions. He is on a BHA rating of 74.
"He's a hardy horse and ran a good second at Newbury last week over 1m2f," said Anthony Bromley. "He has a solid rating and a bit of scope about him and we like the sire, Sixties Icon. He’s taken his races well and looks well. Alan had a good chat with Jack Channon beforehand and so he came recommended. He looks an interesting horse for a new owner to the yard.
“It’s whether Alan decides to geld him now and work away to go jumping. He might freshen him up. It’s the end of August so you could do that; sometimes at the end of October you have a problem with that."
Of the August Sale, Bromley added: "That’s why I like the positioning of this sale – it suits some of the trainers selling as they get a bit more runs out of them than if you’re selling in July and also the owner will then reinvest in a yearling. There were a lot of horses that were withdrawn in July because trainers knew they had this sale as a back-up."
(13:59)
Lot 83:
the two-year-old filly Beautiful Meaning, by Wootton Bassett, has been bought as a breeding prospect by Matt Houldsworth of Howson and Houldsworth Bloodstock. She cost 22,000gns and was sold today by Baroda Stud.
"She is very nice and goes to the good French breeder Thierry de la Heronniere of Haras d'Ellon," reported Houldsworth. "She is from a very good family that is active at the moment and she is by Wootton Basset, too, which is a bonus. I bought her dam here last year for another client."
The action in the pedigree is courtesy of an update by Mise En Scene (Siyouni), who won the Prestige Stakes (G3) at Goodwood last weekend. She has autumn entries in the Rockfel Stakes (G2) and the Fillies' Mile (G1) and is out of Gadfly, a half-sister to the Group 1 1,000 Guineas winner Speciosa and to Special Meaning, the dam of Beautiful Meaning,
(13:16)
Lot 61:
Oh Great has been bought to go to the US by Jamie Lloyd signing for Meah / Lloyd Bloodstock at 40,000gns.
"He goes to trainer Jeff Mullins in California for B & G Stables, the same connections for whom I bought Originaire. He has gone on to be multiple stakes placed. This colt is a big strong sort who should do well out in the states," said Lloyd.
By Ribchester, he was sold by Aguiar Bloodstock for Amo Racing.
Last time out (August 13 over a mile at Wolverhampton) when sent off favourite he won his first handicap on his fourth career start, albeit in the stewards' room – he finished a head second after being carried out to the right by the Muharrar colt San Francisco Bay.
(12:42)
Lot 36:
trainer George Boughey and Sam Haggas of Hurworth Bloodstock, the pair sat up in the gods, went to 16,000gns for Liberty Bay, a bay three-year-old filly by Iffraaj. She is the winner of two races at two and three, and is currently in form – she has run eight times this year, won once and been placed in the first four on all her remaining starts.
Bred by Stanley House Stud, she was bought by Oliver St Lawrence Bloodstock for 6,500gns as a yearling at the October Book 3 Sale in 2019.
She was sold today by trainer Mark Usher on behalf of the Rowdown Racing Partnership.
(11:58)

Chairman’s Statement
At the conclusion of the 2021 Tattersalls July Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony commented:
“The Tattersalls July Sale has long been recognised as Europe’s premier midsummer sale and this week's impressive set of figures have yet again confirmed its status. Perhaps more importantly than figures alone, it has also been a sale with a real sense of business returning to something resembling normality. We cannot make meaningful comparisons with last year’s abbreviated and COVID-ravaged July Sale, but this year’s sale has produced a level of trade that compares very favourably with both the 2019 and 2018 renewals and crucially has yet again achieved a remarkable clearance rate in excess of 90 per cent.
“Even in a sale of genuinely vibrant trade from start to finish the penultimate session stood out with an extraordinary 100% clearance rate driven by strong domestic demand mixed with the sort of international participation, which has been so encouraging considering the widespread travel restrictions which are still in place.
"Significant consignments from some of the world’s leading owner/breeders including Godolphin, Juddmonte Farms and Shadwell Estates have been as popular as ever and buyers from all over the world have continued to make full use of the Tattersalls live internet bidding platform as well as telephone bidding through our team on the ground.
"All the signs now suggest that we can look forward to returning almost to normal for the forthcoming Tattersalls August Sale and for the market-leading Tattersalls yearling sales, which begin at Park Paddocks with the new Somerville Yearling Sale on September 7th."

796, Laafy, 2016 b,g. (Noble Mission x Miner's Secret (Mineshaft)) sold by Freemason Lodge Stables (Sir M. Stoute) to AGC Bloodstock for 105,000gns
(20:57)
Lot 796:
Laafy, a five-year-old gelding by Noble Mission and from Freemason Lodge Stables draft of Sir Michael Stoute, makes 105,000gns.
Purchaser trainer Mark Campion and his son Arthur have selected the five-year-old as a jumping prospect.
"He is very nice horse, Arthur spotted him and said 'Dad you need to come and look at this horse'. He is going jumping and is a very nicely rated horse, he has plenty of ability. We will get him home, the team can take a look at him and we'll make a decision about what to do next, see how he settles in. He is a lovely big horse, we have a small team to own him," said Campion Snr.
The docket was signed under AGC Bloodstock.
Laafy is now rated 100 – his last win came over 1m4f last September and off a mark of 101.
Through his career he has won four races on all sorts of ground and over distances ranging from 1m2f to 1m6f. He has prize-money earnings of £77,666.
(19:56)
Lot 793:
Qaasid by Awtaad makes 50,000gns and is bought by trainer Julie Camacho. He was previously trained by Sir Michael Stoute.
"He is for Martin Hughes, a new owner to ourselves and we are very excited to have him with us," said her husband and assistant Steve Brown. "Martin was looking for something that could go a little bit further, he has mainly got quickish horses, he was looking for something with a little more stamina. This horse was staying on nicely in his last run over a mile and quarter, he is from a stamina-laden family and he is quite lightly raced.
"The Awtaads are going well and he is a nice physical, so it is fingers crossed!"

Lot 779:
is bought by owner Laurence Bellman, who was sat in the gods with trainer Mark Loughnane and agent Jamie Lloyd. Named Crafter, the son of Muhaarar has been in training in France for Godolphin and with Andre Fabre. The three-year-old colt has run twice, winning first time out at the beginning of June at Compiegne and then fifth at Chantilly on June 25.
He was bred by John Hanly, Anthony Stroud and Ecurie Skymarc Farm out of the Group 3 winner Boston Rocker from the talented family of Superstar Leo, Enticing and One Master.
"Mr Bellman has a few horses with me, we have been very lucky and have had some success, we looked at this horse today and liked him," said Loughnane.
"Lawrence has had a lot of good horses over the years."
"This is a quality horse," added Lloyd. "A good-looking horse."

Lot 771:
trainer Grant Tuer goes to 100,000gns to buy King Triton (Invincible Spirit).
The three-year-old gelding, who is out of Nada (Teofilo), a half-sister to Dubawi, has now run three times. He won his last start, a mile maiden at Thirsk.
"He has been bought for owner Edward Ware," said Tuer. "–I had a horse for him earlier this season, we won a couple and sold him on, this is to replace him.
"I liked the form of King Triton's maiden win, the form has worked out well. Hopefully, we can progress into some nice mile and 1m2f races this summer. We will probably try and go to the Ebor meeting, there is a mile handicap for three-year-olds."

Lot 767:
the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes winner Pierre Lapin makes 80,000gns, bought by Stephen Thorne of Shamrock Thoroughbreds to go into training with Adrian McGuiness.
"He had a massive profile and was a very talented two-year-old," said Thorne. "We have a great relationship with Roger Varian and have bought two stakes horses from him, and we were very keen to do business again. It is great to build relationship with these consignors and a trainer like him leaves a little bit left for the next man.
"I like the story and let's hope he can regain the form he had as a two-year-old."
Reviewing the horse's profile, Thorne added: "He is a big horse and maybe he showed so much talent at two that it took a bit out of him for his three-year-old campaign. Hopefully, we can rejuvenate him – maybe the system at home with the use of beach will suit him. He could be well handicapped!"
Pierre Lapin is by Cappella Sansevero and is a half-brother to the champion two-year-old sprinter Harry Angel, from the family of Xtension, Mrs Gallagher and Supremacy.

"We have been very fortunate with a Frankel who came from a Tattersalls horses in training sale, The Grand Visir. We love the stallion as does everybody!" said Ian Williams after buying Cap Francais, a five-year-old son of the Juddmonte stallion, adding: "He is a horse who has had a good break having come back from Dubai, and looks set to be competitive in a lot of the winter festivals abroad. He could possibly go jumping next spring.
"He is rated 100 and he is capable of running to that level, he should be fun. We now just need to find the right client for the horse," smiled Williams having bought the horse on spec.
Cap Francais was formerly in training with Ed Walker, won last June off a mark of 95. He was subsequently twice placed in handicaps at Ascot over a mile before running three times in Meydan, finishing fourth last time out.

Lot 675:
"She has been bought to race on, she looks a progressive filly with a pedigree and we are delighted to get her. We will kick on with her now, and race her through the rest of the year and see what happens," said trainer Joseph O'Brien after buying Royal Dynasty for 80,000gns.
By Charm Spirit, Royal Dynasty is a seven-time winner, last successful in June off a mark of 84, her highest winning mark to date. Her winning form has come over 5f to 7f and she is now rated 89. She has run 20 times, and has only finished out of the first four on five occasions.
She has certainly give her owner David Fremel results both on the racecourse and in the sale ring – she was purchased at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale in 2019 for just 1,000gns as a three-year-old maiden.
She comes from the leading Meon Valley Stud family – her second dam is the Group 1 winner Milligram, and her third dam is One In A Million, a champion three-year-old filly in England in 1979. Further Group 1 winners and performers on the page are Dash To The Top, Anapurna, Speedy Boarding, and the 1998 champion older mare One So Wonderful.

Lot 643:
the recent winner Rhebus Road (Champs Elysees) is bought by Will Douglass of Charlie Gordon-Watson Bloodstock for 70,000gns.
Douglass said: "He has been bought for Tim Syder and Dominic Burke to win the Jockey Club Whip. He will go back to Ralph's [Beckett] and will then go jumping after that.
"Ralph has a good record of winning the Whip, and he looks like the right sort of horse for the race and is going the right way. He is a recent winner, and the form has worked out really well. We will decide on the next plans after September."
Douglass is also looking forward to the second renewal of the Tattersalls August Sale.
"I think the August Sale is a really great edition, a fantastic thing moving forwards. It works really well for the Middle East clients, giving them enough time to get the horses over and acclimatised for the Middle East season, yet the horses can still run in the major British Festivals – at Newmarket this week, Goodwood and York."
Douglass has bought four horses this week for leading Qatari trainer Gassim Ghazali, a regular purchaser of horses in training at Tattersalls, but currently at home in Qatar.
Douglass added: "We do need the world to open up again. I have taken the decision that, early next year whatever the quarantine regulations are, I will be travelling, by then it will be three years since I have seen a lot of my clients."
